Snack <fails>.

Never met him, but I’m thinking Chad Scott is a dick.

You know, I wasn’t going to vote in their contest this year because I don’t like any of the flavors, but now I have to, just to make that comment on their website.

Takis are a popular snack among my daughter’s classmates. She can’t understand why, since neither of us likes them. I’m wondering why kids like spicy snacks so much lately.

I subscribe to this thing called Munchbox, that sends a box of snacks from all over the world once a month. This month, among other things, there was a bag of peanut-flavored puffs (like cheese puffs, only with peanut flavor) from Romania, I think. My daughter hated them, and I tried a few before getting tired and leaving them on the coffee table. Even the ants won’t touch them.

So sad. I love Takis. They are especially good as a side in a brown bag lunch.

Dried cucumber chips from Fresh Market. I thought they would be good. Oh my god they were vomitous. I ate like four and then threw the entire box out - and you don’t get them in small boxes. Nasty!

Funyons :frowning:

Wasabi peas :frowning:

Pumpkin spice M&Ms. AFAIK, they’re exclusive to Target, so that makes them pretty easy to avoid. They’re not aggressively bad, but I don’t recommend them.

Ah, Mountain Dew. That makes sense.

Blech. BLECH.

Back in the day, I loved Sen-Sen, but every one of my friends hated it.

Most people don’t eat them alone as snacks, but maybe more often topped with something, but a couple of years ago Nabisco pulled regular Premium saltines off the shelves around here and replaced them with ROUND ones.

FAIL!

I threw out a bag of pumpkin spice Hershey Kisses that I picked up in my post-Hallloween discount chocolate buying expedition last year.

I had almost exactly the same experience. Well, OK, I didn’t think the cheeseburger ones were quite heavenly, but they were certainly good enough to make a nice change of pace. I like variety in my snacks, so I was also willing to try Mystery Flavor #2. But the Mountain Dew ones-- Ugh! They would have been so overwhelmingly sour as to be uneatable, except that the sweetness was even more overwhelming than the sour.

What?! That’s like the graphics to “Orange is the New Black”, where orange is written in black lettering, and black is written in orange. My brain doesn’t want to process round saltines.

Just yesterday I decided to try some squash latkes. Made the batter ahead of time, left it in a covered bowl in fridge. Sister-in-law (semi-vegetarian) came in some time later to raid the fridge, saw the bowl of batter, thought “ah…Seldom made a carrot salad!”, helped herself to a nice bowl of… Grated butternut squash, grated onions, eggs, etc, all raw. Said later she had several spoonfuls down before it dawned on her that something wasn’t right. So… a snack that didn’t work out.

The latkes were delicious, BTW once they were properly fried.
SS

Chocolate covered ginger altoids. I loved the other chocolate covered ones, but those…blech. I gave them to a coworker who liked ginger.
