'Snatch' question

Just got through watching this (again - love it!) with the ‘English’ subs on and my SO says that she thinks Mullet is talking about Bullet Tooth Tony when he rolls up behind him (Mullet), citing the “gold tooth” reference as proof.

Anyone know if this is true?
If so what does the “black ink” part mean, if not what the hell IS he talking about?

Any takers?

Never saw the subtitles, but yeah, I kept feeling like he was talking about Tony and probably bragging to his friends about beating him up or some shit like that. Would make sense considering the deer-in-the-headlights look he gives when he hears Tony’s voice, and Tony’s mentioning “Still warm, the blood that flows through my veins…”

Oh yeah… Subtitles. I should turn those on just for that guy. I could never understand a damn word he said when Tony confronted him. I did better understanding Pikey than Irish (that was Irish, right?).

De ye like dags?

Nope, it was English! Ewen Bremner’s accent can be very difficult to understand.

Have you seen Trainspotting? Eventually you get used to it, but at first his broque is damn near incomprehensible to the average American ear.

Ooops, my bad. A brogue is Irish, his Scottish accent is a burr.

ArrrMatey’s post made me think that since Mullet said (something to the effect of) ‘I heard you weren’t getting out much’ that maybe he felt confident to talk trash about “Tone”.
Still, given the English slang complexities, I would still like to understand what he was talking about. Reading the sub-titles just doesn’t help me.

Maybe if a British/Englander would weigh in…
