Gotta go to the groc, but first…a new page!
Snow has dwindled to random flurries. The streets are clear, but there is 5 inches of snow on our driveways. I’ve been jonesing for potato chips but can’t get out. I guess that’s a blessing. I spent the afternoon watching a Hoarders marathon.
I took a break from West Wing to put the ham in the oven. I’ve now got the sides prepped and in about 15 minutes, they’ll be cooked. I finished the monster afghan and I’ve been working on punkin wig parts.
Pretty productive for a lazy afternoon!
We achieved nappage. Tboomers make for good nappage! Then the sun came out for a while but now ‘tis all cloudy again. Tonight’s low is predicted to be 49 Amurrkin. Also, I have hauled the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Tomorrow night is men’s night over to the church house, thus, steaks are marinatin’ and beer is chillin’. Any need to feed this evenin’ shall be via forage.
WetOne glad to know the snow has dwindled. Still, better thee than me.
Today I made breakfast (sausage, onion, tomato, and cheese omelettes), put out the trash and the recycling, mowed the lawns, and went to the supermarket. Tonight I’ll make pork chops, mashed cauliflower, and gravy. We’ll probably have a salad too.
Heathenated and lunched with said heathens. When I got home, I took Nelson to the dog park before the thunderboomers hit. He got to play with a young puppy of a similar mix as he is. They met a few days ago and get along well. She’s a cutie and fearless.
You have learned well, Grasshopper. It will soon be time for you to leave our Temple.
On other notes, do to all the big-city things happening here in the Big City they asked for volunteers to come in today and I did. It wasn’t bad at all; everything went fairly smooth by our standards. Which means of course all Hell will break loose tomorrow. But for today my prayers this AM were answered.
Good party, a bunch of my favorite former bartenders were there. And the Pens lost:D[sup]100[/sup] And the USA won the Women’s Worlds.:D[sup]100[/sup].
Stuffed, so just had a bowl of broccoli for dinner.
To nobody’s surprise, nappage won out, but I did wipe down the kitchen and picked up and bagged sundry trash items, so I consider it a win-win. Dinner has been consumed and internettin’ will occupy my time until sleepy-time.
Catch all y’all next time.
The confirmation went well. Five young people were confirmed, including the young man from our family… He is the grandson of my cousin, so that makes him my first cousin twice removed.
There was a family reception for him afterwards, with around thirty friends and relatives attending. A very pleasant visit, and I will see many of them again next week for Easter.
Then I took my mom home and finished doing my taxes, both state and federal. I will get money back from federal but the greedy, grasping state of Kansas wants $42 from me.
But getting them done is a monkey off of my back. I even mailed them in a day early!
Any particular brands that are especially dangerous? I have a little list of folks I would like to send complimentary packages to.
 How dare you!
I almost gave my state & local ones to a RC member who’s running Bahstan tomorrer, just so she could mail them for me; they’d be postmarked on time but take extra time to get there because they’re coming from a further distance.
Make sure you address them in accordance with the recent changes, put your address in the middle of the envelope & put their address, smaller font, in the top left corner.
