Sniff...Cough...I have the flu.

I should have taken a day cruise up to Vancouver and got the shot

I should have bought really soft tissue so my poor wittle nose isn’t all raw from using toilet paper.

I should have cancelled my standing date to see the Bridget Jones movie today instead of drinking a latte (milk and congestion and caffeine and Sudafed do not mix). But I went anyway and tried not to sniffle on anyone or cough or offer to share my very expensive popcorn. Didn’t even see the whole first movie or read any of the books, so it was more for the company than the movie anyway…not too shabby for a chick flick but no boo-hoo moments.

I should not be smoking cigarettes, but I am. I should check out the new Mint nicorette gum, but I probably won’t.

I should not look at my green and yellow boogies, but I do. Nor should I leave my little boogie toilet paper things all over the table…eww

I should try to sleep with my mouth closed so I don’t wake up with a totally dried out tongue–but it is impossible with my stuffiness

I also should wait until 925 to start watching my ReplayTV’d Desperate Housewives and I will–2 minutes to go.

Flu sucks. Give me your rants.

If you can stand up and go outdoors without medicating yourself to semi-dangerous degrees, it’s likely not the flu. Sounds more like a really bad cold to me. Of course, maybe you just didn’t mention the high fever or aches or lethargy or exhaustion. If so, my mistake.

Regardless of what it is, I feel for you. Being sick is something I’d rather never experience again.

No it’s the flu. Sleeping 12 hours, up for 2-3 on the sofa, 2 hour nap. Fever and chills and all that jazz. Colds I can deal with…this sucks. I had mono in high school and I was down for the count for a month. My fam got a big kick out of the fact that I fell asleep on the toilet multiple times. :smack:

Funny thing, I coulda gotten the shot. I figured since I work from home and have little contact with people and am pretty aware of NOT getting the flu, I’d be OK.

Then my friends cute, cute, cute baby came over who LOVES to give big sloppy germ laden kisses…

Sorry, no rants to give; just a little sympathy.
Feel better.
