I’m a bit surprised that Bill Clinton would do something so obviously stupid, but then, we’re talking about Bill Clinton, so maybe it shouldn’t be such a shock.
Another non-issue the GOP will bloviate about until long after they’ve realized the American public doesn’t give a damn.
He’s a pathologic glad-handler.
“We’re parked on the tarmac next to Lynch? Oh I gotta say hello!”
Hillary is the constant overthink before saying without considering how it will be played … Bill just does.
For a smart man he can be really really dumb.
Are you trying to sell me a subscription to USA Today? Because that’s all I got from your link.
Complete non-issue, but if anyone were to be at fault, it would be Lynch, not Clinton.
Only those already disinclined to vote for Hillary will be outraged by it. To her credit, Lynch said she will accept the recommendation of the FBI so she’s effectively a non-participant in the investigation.
That link doesn’t take me to a story. That’s a remarkably lazy OP.
For 25 years, I’ve been noting that Bill Clinton’s stats in Dungeons & Dragons would be:
Intelligence: 18
Charisma: 21
Wisdom: 3
Sorry, posting on phone. The link takes me to the story when I click it, but here’s another couple of links:
Thanks. Sorry for the lazy crack.
He spoke to her! Well, shit, has to be about the e-mail scandal that is raging across the country like mildfire! Nobody, anywhere, is talking about anything else, so that has to be it!
How is this a story? Non-issue.
A Clinton did something.
Is it just me, or is the bigger question here “Why did Lynch’s security detail allow somebody unexpected to just walk into her plane?”
I wonder how many millions the Pubbies will want to spend on the Special Prosecutor for this.
…and that so disappointed HurricaneDitka that it convinced him to switch parties and vote Republican this year!
The utter lack of any expectation of ethical standards for the Clintons on this board is quite breathtaking.
Whether you like the Clintons or not, there are things to do and things to don’t.
Among the things to don’t: Don’t have a private meeting with the Attorney General who oversees the department that is investigating your wife. Especially when you and your wife have a giant trust problem.
It is mindbogglingly stupid. It looks bad, it makes you invest energy and time into defending a stupid ass decision, and it feeds into the general distrust the public feels.
Of course, expecting our politicians to be honest, smart and ethical is silly.
Slee
Bill travels with his own posse, called the Secret Service. Ms Lynch’s team glared at them, they glared back, then Bill said “Hi!”. No shots were fired.
Presumably, their respective Secret Service details have some sort of handshake …
This was a stupid move on the part of both parties. It just gives ammunition to the morons who would rather talk about non-issues than anything of actual import. And then Lynch took it further by announcing she’d abide by the decisions of the prosecutors, effectively recusing herself from the process. If they wanted to talk about their grandchildren as Lynch has claimed they just needed an objective third party on hand for plausible deniability that there was no impropriety.
As has often been speculated before, I think Bill doesn’t want Hillary to be president.
