Again, where does it say Clinton, herself, is the subject of a criminal investigation?
Clandestine? Were they sneaking around back alleys?
Actually I am unclear about how we know about this. The reports I read say that a local reporter was “tipped off” about it … by whom, who knows … not that anyone just happened to be there. The reporter was not there but is repeating what his unnamed source has told him, got another source to substantiate, and the meeting itself obviously being then confirmed by Lynch.
But no, “not in the public eye” ≠ “covert.” The fact that you do not know what I ate for dinner last night or with whom does not mean that my dinner was a covert operation or that my dinner partner and I met clandestinely.
How can we be sure??!?!?!?!?!?!??!??!?!??!??
Can you PROVE that you weren’t meeting covertly??? Can you PROVE that you were simply having “dinner”???
I THINK NOT!!!1!!!
If you’d like to argue about semantics, fine. How about this, if the reporter had not been tipped off, the not-covert meeting would have remained unknown to be the general public. Agreed?
Or do you think either Lynch or Clinton would have publicized it themselves?

Agreed that it would have just been a part of each of their days that the general public did not know about. No, I do not that either would have made an announcement about it.
Maybe when she got home she would have told her husband - “Guess who just stopped in to say hi while my plane was waiting on the tarmac today? Bill Clinton! Awkward! Gawd could you imagine what the press would have done with that if they were there? Sheesh. The man’s a freaking genius but dang can he be dumb.”
Why is it scandalous for Bill to meet with a country music legend? Is there that much disdain for Coal Miner’s Daughter?
Wait, what?
Never mind.
One ay or the other, doesn’t matter. Clinton haters would paint the meeting as covert if it were in front of the entire White House press corps.
In other words you believe that Clinton is so stupid that he did not understand that the meeting was inappropriate or that they are both ethically challenged and would not report the meeting. Got it.
One thing I am very curious about is the reporter. From what I have read the reporter, Christopher Sign, had time to meet with his management before boogieing down to the airport. This is after he got a tip that the two were meeting.
If it was an impromptu meeting, the timeline from tip-> meet with and discuss with management -> get to the airport seems a bit tight if it was a 30 minute meeting.
My understanding of things may be incorrect. However, if I do understand what happened correctly, it seems very odd.

Is that a joke? He had a sexual relationship with an intern and lied under oath about it. You think he is smart when it comes to making ethical decisions? In defense of Lynch, what are you supposed to say when you’re told a former President wants to see you? She should have never been put into that position.
Robert Reich, who actually knows Bill Clinton personally, said it was all about his sense of entitlement.
Bill Clinton fucked up and forced a meeting with AG Lynch while Bill’s wife’s actions were under investigation by the FBI. Bill should never have forced himself on another woman. Maybe he can’t help himself?
More blinkered. But yes in this practical sense that stupid.
Because you are not understanding correctly what happened. Which is understandable. The reporter never got to the airport while the meeting was happening. It was all after the fact. He was tipped off that it had happened, got that tip confirmed by a second unnamed source, and then confirmed by Lynch when she was asked about it directly.
If they don’t inflict these wounds on themselves, they might actually have to move back into the White House! Have you seen how well Hillary is polling?
Tell people you’re going to be President, that’s a great way to make money. Actually being President? Do you really want to begin eight years as a highly stressed civil servant when you’re pushing 70?

No, but if I were married to Hillary, I might not mind if she does.
So… you’re voting Libertarian or Green based on your ageism?
Am I the only one who read the op and thought it was more like This
