Bullies pretty much never consider their own behavior bullying.
The guy posts a sentence that is or is not funny a few hundred times and that’s considered grounds for ridiculous rage, insults, demands, and arguments. Some of you have literally been bitching about this for years! If someone posting a phrase you find tiresome on a message board is enough to get under your skin and incite you to write personal attacks and try to get others to join in, you just might be a bully.

See, what you and a few others seem to be missing is that’s how things work here. The forum is specifically designed for this type of activity. Read the forum description - For rants about the world or beefs with another poster. No one is forced to be a member here, no one is forced to read any posts here. No one is forced to open the pit. Bully my ass.

I was confused at first, then amused after I understood the phrase. When I understood the particular reason why Bo used it, it got even better. Now I’m amused by the people who are offended by it.
I’m hoping there’s another level to this joke, because it’s been pretty good so far.
Saying bullying is okay here doesn’t make it not bullying.

It’s rather funny that someone would whine about bullying in a forum designed for heated disagreements and occasional (or more) name calling. If someone fears emasculation, they shouldn’t sleep with strange women who collect knives. Same goes for the pit. If you can’t handle the repercussions, or the heat, avoid the pit.

You said he sucks. I made up a (to me humorous) ditty that riffed on someone else saying he was waving an annoying asshat flag, that musically encouraged people to just scroll past. He was told he was embarrassing himself. Someone questioned if maybe early onset dementia explained the odd posting. One poster went so far as to call him a prick and a cumstain. And at that point he played the “I will defend myself tho, and I won’t knuckle under to the bullying going on here.” wahwah.
Sensitive little tyke. Enjoys doing things that some others specifically enjoy because it provokes a reaction in others, i.e. it amuses them specifically because it is successful trolling and allowed. But cannot handle even a weak sauce Pitting.

Maybe it will help some to deal with his annoyingness by thinking of this as a sort of complex tic, like the coprolalia of severe Tourette Syndrome (yes, it actually is a very rare part of the syndrome, I know). Every so often he will just blurt out and he apparently cannot stop himself. Best ignored, right?

I wish Bo would retire his quarry thing, I find it annoying. I find it amusing that he complains here of being bullied, and in a different Pit thread calls another poster a “petulant asshole”.
I admit I once found it annoying, but then he kept doing it and some Dopers found that funny so I eventually realized just how funny it really is. Now every time he says it, my living room looks like a slaughterhouse of busted guts. My uncontrolled screaming hysterics have led neighbors to call the police several times, but when I explain the joke they lose their bowels and start writhing on the floor and have to be confined to desk work and undergo intensive state-mandated counseling. It’s so funny that the inadequacy of applying the word “funny” is itself so funny as to induce paralysis, split sides, tongue swallowing and urinary incontinence, among other slapstick syndromes. It’s the joke that inspired David Foster Wallace to write Infinite Jest, and then to kill himself because he knew that in a thousand lifetimes he would never, ever, ever think of something as funny as a middle-aged man on a public message board randomly repeating a line he heard on the US version of the television show The Office. RIP David, but any time a warhead of funny like this one is detonated, some collateral damage is inevitable.
