I find Snowboarder Bo’s gimmick to be distracting to the flow of conversation, and therefore, annoying. It isn’t horrible, but it is stupid.
Then I move on.
However, the reactions to it aren’t bullying by any sensible definition.
For something to be a demand, it generally requires an “or else”. If that “or else” is “I will continue to be annoyed, aggravated, and frustrated, and will continue to call you names in the Pit”, that’s not a power imbalance required for bullying.
I used to get annoyed reading Bo’s quarry catchphrase over and over again. But, then…I got it! It finally clicked like a bright incandescent light in my brain. And it has changed me forever—for the better.
You see, Bo isn’t trying to make us laugh. He isn’t trying to annoy us. He’s not being a troll. He’s trying to elevate us to a higher plane of existential consciousness—and he’s succeeding.
You know how the Hare Krishna’s keep chanting their catchphrase (hairy Krispy Kreme, hairy Krispy Kreme, or something like that) over and over again? Bo knows that mind-numbing repetition of a cleansing mantra is needed in order to make it stick; to make it become ingrained in your mind.
Bo is like Friedrich Nietzsche or Jim Jones, only much deeper…and a little more happy-go-lucky.

Friedrich’s a downer, a pessimist. Bo’s an upper, an optimist.
“Monsters” in the above quote doesn’t refer to literal monsters, like the Wolfman or Godzilla, it refers to our inner demons. Bo’s “quarry” is a metaphor for the “abyss” in which we gaze into the eyes of our “monsters”. Are we alone and helpless in the universe? Friedrich thinks so, but Bo doesn’t.
Before the healing begins, you have to hit rock bottom. Bo, quite adroitly brought all of us to rock bottom. He let the quarry (i.e. the abyss) gaze into us all and turn us all into monsters. Look at all the vitriol being thrown amongst you all in this thread. You’ve turned into big scary monsters, or chimps throwing their poo at eachother. Heck, I myself was turned into a head lopping monster and almost got a warning about it (warning: if I ever get a warning, I’m outta here).
But, Bo didn’t stop there. He’s not leaving us all writhing about as slimy rock bottom quarry monsters. Unlike Nietzsche, Bo’s saying, *“get off your asses and do something about it people! Throw stuff at the monsters within! Kill it. Free yourselves of all of your psychic detritus!” *
Nothing short of brilliant. I’m converting to Bo-ism.

Scene: A movie theater:
Person A is seated.
Person B wearing a large hat sits in front of Person A keeping the hat on.
Seated next to Person A is Person C who Person A does not already know and on the other side a Person D also previous unmet.
Person A addressing Person B: "Excuse me, you hat is blocking my view. Could you please take it off.
Person B responding. "No.’
Person A: “Why not?”
Person B: “No reason. Wearing my hat in movie theaters amuses me”
Person A: “You know, that’s pretty rude. I’d like to see the movie from the seat I am in, without having to lean to see.”
Person B: "You can move. There is another seat a few rows back. There is no law against me wearing a hat here.
Person A: “Wow. You are really being a jerk. I shouldn’t have to move even one seat over. You should remove your hat.”
Person B: “I will not be bullied into taking off my hat.”
Person C (Loud enough for all to hear.): “God dang. What a fucking asshat.”
Person D (Also loud enough for all to hear.): “People annoyed over a hat. This is comedy gold!”
Person A: “See, some people like my hat.”
I see no bullies in that scene.
FWIW I will try to not scroll past Bo next time outside the Pit and look forward to his using his phrase because I suspect that by then I will have forgotten about doing the Word Replacer II bit replacing it with something that looks like a little asshole to me, and that will make me smile. Maybe switch it to asshat would be better, as that will get me humming my “I’m annoying asshat short and low …” song?

DSeid, I agree, there are no bullies in your scenario, but being annoyed because your view of the movie is blocked is reasonable. Stubbornly refusing to relocate is dumb though, so the annoyed person is unreasonable anyway.
I posted fairly sympathetic posts for SB in 2012. I remarked how humor was difficult, etc., etc. I kind of felt sorry for the guy.
Doxxing is online bullying: you said online bullying doesn’t matter too much. I think the matter is clarified: you didn’t mean that sort of cyber-bullying, which is the kind that makes the newspapers.
I could put SB on ignore, but his other content is above average, so I choose to merely chide him every 2-3 years. Or rather I chided him in 2012 and I pit him now.
