Damn. A dungeon of sorts. We need one here.
Not all peer pressure is “bad”. An adult would understand this. (“Bullying” Ell-Oh-Ell).
Please don’t teach your kids that saving face comes first. I say this because I care.
I believe it’s life without parole. Years are meaningless.
The joke is on everyone here. This whole message board is the dungeon.
You can logout anytime but you can never leave.
And you know its true.
Now where are my pretty pretty boys whom I call friends?

[sub]I swear to God, this fucking thread…[/sub]
This is probably the closest i’ll get to a mirror universe.
I don’t think SB should be forced to stop. I don’t think he should be moderated. If people here are arguing that, I don’t agree with them.
I do think his quirk is stupid and annoying, and the Pit is for bitching about stuff people find stupid and annoying. If you disagree, call people idiots or overly sensitive, but don’t try to silence them - that’s the very thing you’re bitching about yourself. I don’t think that’s your intention, but “SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT” sure makes it sound like you are.
I don’t believe anyone is really upset by that silly harmless catchphrase. You just scroll past it and move on with your life. I do believe people enjoy pretending to be upset so they can have a bit of recreational annoyance.
On a board where there are people who get upset if someone says “Have a nice day”? Are you new?
Agreed. Complaining about the shit that doesn’t matter is a nice distraction from the shit that does.
If we’re talking about annoying signatures, can we talk about Mean Mr. Mustard?
That “mmm” that he tags everything with gives all of his posts a pretty weird vibe. I always picture him going, “mmm yeah i hope you guys like this content.”
:mad::mad::mad:
Sometimes it’s okay to be upset with a “Have a nice day”, especially if it’s accompanied by a rapeshake.
Is that the new flavor that Sonic is pushing lately?
Mmmmmm Rapeshake…takes like submission…
I know I’ve been banging on about Chrome’s Word Replacer II plug-in, and I promise this’ll be the last time I mention it, but it’s just occurred to me that it could offer the perfect solution to this problem.
If Snowboarder Bo downloads it and sets it to change LOL (or whatever) to “Let’s go to the quarry and throw stuff down there”, then he could still use his retarded little catchphrase, but no-one else would see it. Downloading Chrome, installing the plug-in and configuring it to make that change would only take about 10 minutes tops, and he’s already spent way more time than that defending his right to irritate the piss out of people for the sheer bloody-minded hell of it, so he’s really got no reason not to do it.
Everyone’s a winner.
Seriously, what would be wrong with that solution?
The problem is that then nobody else would see it. Hard to be a jerk if nobody can see it.
Just fyi, at Five Guys, they’ll add bacon to every rapeshake.
Are you asking him or forcing him? If you are asking him, he doesnt want to. This means you are trying to force him and he wont give in to your strong armed bullying.
… while rubbing his nipples. I agree.
Five Guys is baconrapin HQ.
I don’t think “so much distress” is the correct way to characterize it. It’s annoying, just like it would be if someone habitually posts in txtspeak or uses grammar bad enough to make it more difficult to read their posts. Those are things that will regularly get you flamed around here. I think most people think of Bo’s non-sequitur catch-phrase as annoying in a similar way, particularly let’s go down to the quarry and throw stuff in there when it is inserted into an otherwise normal sentence.
The additional ire you’re seeing in this thread (and others) comes up because of his attitude about the whole thing, which basically comes down to “yes, I know it’s annoying but fuck you anyway.”
Personally, when I encounter the phrase, I generally just experience a momentary mini-wtf while I’m trying to parse the sentence that’s been rendered nonsense, then go, “oh right, this fucking idiot again,” and scroll past. But it really doesn’t surprise me at all that a lot of people respond with more severe irritation over what amounts to an occasional “fuck you” inserted in his posts. If that’s the way he wants to play it, he’s gonna get blowback. If he wants to complain about “bullying” he might want to consider his own contribution to the situation.
I think troutman said it best while paraphrasing faithfool:
The one bit of amusement I do get out of it is seeing the lengths people will go to to defend a poster’s god-given right to be an annoying twat for a joke that’s not even funny.
