Also, the phrase amuses me, especially since IN FACT Bo uses it infrequently at most.

A few people have presented valid reasons, like faithfool in post #227 and DSeid in #421. Those explanations might not apply to you, but they are reasonable and more than simply “it’s different from the norm.”
I feel the same as faithfool. It doesn’t bother me enough to raise a stink, but it throws me off the conversation and I’d enjoy the threads more without it. Like others, it leads me to ignore a lot of SB’s posts.
For people who like the humor of a non sequitur like this, cool, I’d be fully supportive of enduring a slight annoyance for the sake of someone else’s chuckle, if there were a lot of you. But I think that number is pretty small. For people who get off on purposely annoying others, I just don’t get it. It’s trolling plain and simple, and it sucks that people here trumpet loudly how funny it is to troll.

Thank you. I’m not sure why anyone hasn’t much addressed the meat of what I suggested… Bo still using his version of LOL, but simply set apart so that those who wish to note it for what is and move on, can. I’d think that was a reasonable response for most. Am I completely off base?
