I just noticed Chronos is a Moderator now (although for all I know this has been the case for months).
Seems like a good choice to me. I figure he got chosen since after reading all the time travel threads around here he has figured a way to actually do it. Why lock a thread or berate a troll when you can just pop back in time and prevent it from happening in the first place?
So everyone be nice to the moderator and maybe he’ll post tomorrows lottery numbers for us today!
I just gave Chronos a Mod task! Obviously my OP isn’t a question and as such belongs in MPSIMS or somewhere (actually I posted in GQ cuz that’s where he’s the Mod and figured it was the relevant place).
BTW: You can send my PowerBall numbers to my e-mail address since I figured I don’t want my winnings diluted by sharing with the other SDMB folk. If I win $50 million or better I’ll throw the DopeFest to end all Dopefests (maybe rent a Caribbean island for a week and fly everyone down there).

Chronos is indeed going to co-moderate with me here in GQ. A Jekyll to my Hyde, a Frick to my Frack, the Chip to my Dale.
I’m thrilled. I’ve been impressed with his knowledge, patience, his style and everything else since he joined the boards. Also, his presence here will allow me to return to producing the work product that my employer has so missed for the past few months.
Right now, I’m sure he’s going through the copius stuff we send to new mods, but he’ll be along presently. So feel free to suck up to him here in this thread before he gets here.
Well, it’s been in discussion for a while now, but it just happened. Unfortunately, Jeff_42, I haven’t developed a method of time travel, and I know for a fact that I’ll never develop a method capable of transmitting an easily-readable message to an arbitrary point in the past, (ask me in MPSIMS sometime how I know that), and that’s probably what would be necessary for your troll-control idea. That said, I can help Manny get back to his work that he actually gets paid for… It’s about time that I had an excuse to take so much time away from my own work (actually, I have a light load the next two semesters, so I should be OK). It’s great to be aboard.
So, what does this button do?
Seriously, Chronos, if you ever do perfect your time-traveling ability, I agree that the most pressing and compelling use for it is to hunt trolls 
Commiserations on your added duties, but at least the pay is good, right?
