So, did this help my dating karma?

I went to meet up with a friend last night at a local hangout, and found him at the bar chatting away with a cute woman. Well, she was quite nice, and fun conversations were had by all. They seemed to click very well, and my friend has recently started getting back into the dating game after a divorce.

The woman ended up having to leave due to early-morning commitments. As she’s doing her goodbye stuff, I slip this comment into the conversation:

“So, did {friend} remember to ask for your number?”

It turns out he hadn’t (which I knew), so she quickly wrote down her digits and gave them to {friend}. Made his night, and I think I pulled it off smoothly enough that it didn’t make him look like he was just too nervous to ask for himself (which wasn’t entirely the case, but was a factor).

So does the act of helping my friend improve my karma in and of itself, or should I wait to see how their relationship works out?

If they get married, you get the right of the first night.

If you did that to me I’d be pissed. But then again I’m not the shy type. So if your friend is happy, then good on you and may the dating gods smile upon you.
