Bucks win in a squeaker 21-18.
What are you nuts?! And Miami was soundly beating Vtech until they started fooling around and get VTech back in it.
Miami wins by at least 2 TDs.
ok, I’ll admit I am no OSU fan, you found me out! Honestly, I am basing my opinion on the U of M game, in which OSU failed to impress me, the U of I game that went to OT, and the Purdue game that came down to the last minute. Now, I know the defense wasn’t to blame for all of that, but Michigan dominated that game, if they hadn’t fallen apart at the end they would have won, so in my mind Michigan lost that game more than OSU won it. I’m still glad to see the big ten rise up and play well this year.
This one will probably be over by the middle of the 3rd Q. It all depends how Miami wants to play. The have games (Rutgers) where they mail it in, and then others (Tenn/V. Tech) where they pounce all over the opponent. Miami always has enough to win.
OSU is NOT a very impressive team. And as far as Clarett goes, he’s not much better than Suggs or Jones at VT, and they couldn’t run on Miami’s D.
I’d wager to say this will be the least entertaining game of the big 4, with the exception of the Sugar.
WSLer, let me repeat what I said in your “So, who are the Hurricanes going to stomp on to win the BCS championship in Tempe?” thread:
Not that I care who plays whom, or who wins, but it seems I recall a game played in Tempe, 1986 I believe, when another “unbeatable” Miami team (11-0, outscored opponents 420 to 136) showed up at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in their comouflage fatigues, and then after all the hype, went out and got their asses whipped (14-10) by an underdog team in ugly, generic, uniforms.
Who knows, it could happen again.
Buckeyes, 22-21
Go Bucks!
First of all, they didn’t arrive at the Airport dressed in Camo fatigues. SOME, not all of the Hurricanes wore camo fatigues to a bar-b-que that members of both teams attended. Some of the Miami and some of the Penn State players got mouthy and the Miami players walked out.
Ohio State wins 21-20
There’s a bit of a warm-weather team bias to the big bowl games…if Miami had to play at a neutral outdoor site in the northern midwest in january, I am fairly positive that Ohio State would win.
But Miami will probably win in the sun. It won’t be a blowout.

That’s right! Can you feel that, brother? Ohio State has a National Championship!!!
C’mon, all you Hurricane supporters. Give OSU a little love here.
Thinksnow and Krispy Original weren’t far off with their point predictions either as it ended in a 17-17 tie at regulation and then became a 2 to 1 short field scoring advantage which you could extrapolate to a 19-18 win.
I never would have guessed. Nice job, guys.
Good call, spooje!
Suck on it Miami!! You got beat!!
God, I love it!
Hey, what about me? What am I, chopped liver?
My guess was 21-17 tOSU. Until we got the FG instead of the TD, I thought I was going to be dead on. That would have been scary.
And as for those who predicted a Miami blowout, over by the 3rd, well I’m just going to have to laugh at you.
:points and snickers at the naysayers:
Hoisted by my own petard.
Damn mocking smilies
