So, how's your baby?

Oh, thanks for asking! She’s awesome! She’s 4 months and 9 days and she loves sitting and standing (both supported). She’s incredibly outgoing and loves other babies and will talk and grab at them. It’s pretty great for me because it forces me to be a little more social. She sleeps pretty good, though not through the night just yet.

I’m still loving breastfeeding, even though it was really hard at first. It’s so cool, sometimes I can’t get over that I have this little mammal, made entirely of me. With such a neat personality and amazing cuteness.

I know there are a lot of people here who just had babies or are about to and I want to know all about them! How’s your baby, everyone?

Mine’s 3 months, wakes up smiling, just started laughing, still nursing like a champ. So chubby she looks like the Pillsbury doughbaby, long legs just like Mom. Sleeps through the night, but still has a tummyache or whatever nonspecific 4th trimester complaints a couple days each week, but it passes quickly. My favorite: she wakes around 6 or 7, and I lay her on her back beside me in bed, and she rocks back and forth until she manages to roll towards me and snuggle in close for warmth and breakfast, grinning the whole time.

And where are the pictures?!
My baby’s starting second grade tomorrow! Yes, that Doper micropreemie baby!

Yay, I love talking about my baby! He’ll be two months old on Friday, and it seems like he’s learning something new every single day. He’s started cuddling with his blanket (burp cloth) when he lays down in the rocker with it, which is just unbelievably cute. Also in the last two days, he’s mostly gotten the hang of pulling things to his mouth, and he’s very pleased with himself. He smiles all the time, and is absolutely the light of my life. I completely agree that it’s amazing I was able to make this little creature!

As for myself, I feel like I’m starting to get this whole “mom” thing down. Ian wasn’t able to latch, so I’m exclusively pumping. It really made me sad at first, but I’ve gotten into th routine and now I’m happy that I can give him breastmilk, even if it doesn’t look like I imagined it would turn out.

No baby to gush over, just wanted to give some love to your awesome thread! It’s brilliant, and I am loving to hear all about, how all of your babies are growing!

Oh, iftheresaway, I’m so impressed with you exclusive pumpers. Awesome that you’re doing it! Breastfeeding is so hard at first. One day we just got it, it just clicked. I hate this assumption that because it’s natural it’s easy- it’s brand new for both mama and baby and it’s sometimes very, very hard.

My baby wakes up smiling every day, too. I feel so inspired by her to wake up smiling myself. Not everyday, but most!

I threw a few pictures on a shutterfly site.

Ohmigosh, Zjestika, dimples! Adorable

Mine is 16 months and I think he is doing great. Our second is due in three months!!

15-month old here. She’s running around the house, owns the whole first floor, tries to get into everything and terrorizes the cats. Loves to sit in my office throne next to me and watch me code (well, mostly interfere with it).

Cute as a button.

I know! She had them when she was born, it was one of the first things my midwife commented on!

Terr, so sweet! Is that a phone? Mine loves all of our phones and computers and stuff like that, too!

You know that for a modern baby a magazine is a broken iPad… That’s what she thinks too. She tries to swipe the pictures on printed pages.

My baby is almost a year old. I can hardly believe it. The time has gone by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday that I was stressing over my mother-in-laws visit during her birth and now I am stressing about her visit for the 1st birthday. My how time flies.

In the last couple of days she is really starting to get the hang of walking. Despite being a totally basic human skill, I am SO proud of her. Being a parent is kind of weird like that.

She’s seventeen months old, and becoming cuter in new ways. She yells “HI!” and “BYE!” at the right moments, and will give kisses on request. She is a giver–always bringing her toys to people. Also always wanting to feed people her snacks, which frustrates me because her weight percentile, which was briefly up to 40%, is now down below 25% again. Can’t figure out what to feed her to help her put on weight. Sigh.

But she’s adorable and we love her and she even sleeps through the night, every night, which has been awesome.

I know there’s more babies out there! I wanna hear about all your babies, don’t make me angry here!

Mine got her 4 month shots today. It went great. I find that nursing while the shots are given really cuts down the crying. She barely cried at all, then fell asleep on the ride home. It remains to be seen if she gets a fever later- she did it 2 months.

Mine is nearly 5 months. He loves playing, and he keeps ripping the rings down off his play gym so he can chew on them. He really loves when I sing to him, and always gets excited to see his sister (almost 12)
I could swear he’s been saying ‘ngy’ when he’s hungry XD

My baby boy turned one last month. He is practically running and is not happy unless he is getting into trouble. He has been a handful but he is such a Momma’s boy. He loves his snuggles and always wants a hug.

My not so baby girl is three and such a sweetheart. She loves pretending that she is a dog and will play fetch with a stuffed dog bone. All the while wearing a superhero cape.

Mine is a little over two-and-a-half years old now. He loves trucks, airplanes, and trains. Especially trains. Over the weekend we took him to a park right near the BART tracks. He was so excited. “See the BART train!”, he kept saying when one would pass by.

DAMN!

I can cuss like a sailor, drink like a bum, and I dare say hold my own in a good old fashioned bar fight, but a few pictures of little kids and I’m a jello-y puddle.

Why do you guys do this to me?!

Mine are seven months old in a few days. They’re sleeping badly but they’re utterly friendly and sweet and adore their big brothers and the bigger one, Lilibet, has started making this absurd “huff! huff!” noise when she’s working up to being upset. They both spend a lot of the day playing with toys, can sit on their own for short periods, and are making a huge mess with breadsticks and things on the floor at meal time.

They’re sweet and cuddly and very entertaining. Top is Lilibet, bottom two Miriam.

Mine is -5 months old.

We find out the sex next week!
