Er…how grisly is the horror? I mean, I’m a terrible horror wimp – I can’t read Stephen King – will I get squicked out? (I read Infovore’s book, but it was kind of “adventure horror” and not “horror horror” if that makes sense.)
Congratulations, for sure! A grand accomplishment in any genre.
The horror is mostly psychological. There’s not a lot of explicit gore (though there is some), but it’s more emotionally traumatic than physically traumatic. The major conflicts are relational and internal. No one gets disemboweled.
It is very dark, but it’s not that bloody. Hope that helps?
Yay you! My aspirations are in different directions, but will most likely only ever be aspirations because follow through is not a strong suit of mine so I am in awe of folks who finish things and put themselves out there.
