So, I am now a published author...

Which was a decade in the making. It started out as just this little vignette which I then stuck in a drawer for ten years, not thinking it would go anywhere. I pulled it out about six months ago and started working on it again in my copious (ha!) free time.

Turns out it did have somewhere to go.

Ebook release for now, paperback and audiobook are in the works.

I got my first review, too. It is very dark horror, if you’re into that sort of thing.

If you decide to read it, please leave an honest review on Amazon and/or GoodReads!

Oh, also…

SQUEEEEE!!

(Posted with permission.)

Well Done! Dark horror’s definitely not my field, but Congratulations! May you have a New York Time’s bestseller, or at least a Hugo award.

Congratulations! A published novel is on my bucket list.

Thank you. I’ve been staring at the book page all day… can’t quite believe it.

Oh, if you know of anyone who might enjoy the story, please let them know about it, too.

Woot! Congratulations!

ETA: Wow, small world, too. I was just reading your excerpt on Amazon, and I recognized the name of the club. I have friends who frequent Neo.

Congratalutions that is awesome.

Nice. Hope they paid you well.

Congrats!

Fantastic news! Congratulations!!

Neato. Congrats!

Congratulations!

Thank you. Sales are trickling in; hopefully some of them will like it enough to write a review and/or recommend it to friends.

And yes, I used to spend a lot of time at Neo.

YAY !!! I am in the process of … something like … publishing. You beat me to it.

Good on 'ya! VERY HUGE CONGRATULATIONS

:cool::):):):):):slight_smile:

Woohoo! I’m getting some good ratings and interest on GoodReads (it’s on someone’s Want To Read list!).

Apple has caught up and it’s now available on iTunes as well.

Also: LibraryThing giveaway, random drawing for 50 free copies of the ebook:

Entries are open for a month. Unfortunately there’s not a direct link to the giveaway, just to the massive list of open giveaways, so you’ll have to scroll down to find it.

Oh, here we go.

This link will take you directly to the giveaway: Early Reviewers | Available Now | LibraryThing

Congratulations!

Wow! Congrats!

Er…how grisly is the horror? I mean, I’m a terrible horror wimp – I can’t read Stephen King – will I get squicked out? (I read Infovore’s book, but it was kind of “adventure horror” and not “horror horror” if that makes sense.)

Congratulations, for sure! A grand accomplishment in any genre.

The horror is mostly psychological. There’s not a lot of explicit gore (though there is some), but it’s more emotionally traumatic than physically traumatic. The major conflicts are relational and internal. No one gets disemboweled.

It is very dark, but it’s not that bloody. Hope that helps?

Yay you! My aspirations are in different directions, but will most likely only ever be aspirations because follow through is not a strong suit of mine so I am in awe of folks who finish things and put themselves out there.

You deserve to celebrate.
