Johnny and Sandy, sitting in a tree…
Congrats, my friend. Couldn’t happen to a nicer more deserving guy.
Kathy sends her best and we hope to get to see you two if you get down this way again.

Congrats to you, JohnnyLA, and the Mrs. LA-to-be. Perhaps you can talk her into joining the board so you can introduce her to us.
Best wishes!
You’re not married, are you?
Of course, there won’t be any “and stuff” when the L.A.'s get married either, but don’t tell JLA that. Leave him his illusions…
Congrats!
Hey congratulations. I’m glad to hear some good news from you :).
:: Does a celebratory cartwheel! ::
What a terrific bit of new year’s news – congratulations Mr. L.A.!
Hey Johnny dude, well done!! Congratumalations and all of that stuff.
So, you’re coming down under for your honeymoon, right??
Cheers!
Um, that’s kind of a personal question, isn’t it? I thought that was implied by the “and stuff” in the title.
While I can’t speak for Scotticher, you do realize you’ve just broken my heart along with the rest, right? I mean, which Doper guy are Scotticher and I going to fight over now? I suppose I’ll just have to soothe my broken dreams in the arms of an engineer tonight.
More seriously, congratulations! She sounds like a neat lady. May you and she enjoy many, many years of happiness.

I was afraid of that.
But now for the future I think I`ll get wise,
And I’ll marry all those women who acted so kind,
Aye I’ll marry them all on the morrow by and by,
If the clergy agreed to the bargain.
Congratulations!
Will there be vegemite served at the reception?
Congrats.
Smutty bugger.
Well, she’s on her way home. I drove her down to Seattle to catch her plane.
April is so far away! And there’s no guaranty her house will sell immediately.
I talked to Future Mrs. L.A. today. She made it home near midnight. Harvey stopped his miaowing as soon as they got on the plane. The security at SEA was nicer and more helpful than at Nashville. (They made her take the squirming cat out of the carrier and wanted her to remove her boots – but they wouldn’t give her the cat carrier back.)
I looked online for real estate prices in the Clifton area. Nothing. Clifton is on the Tennessee River, and I guess people go there on holiday. That might be in her favour, as someone might be looking for a holiday home. It’s a 3BR, 1BA on a fair lot. She says she’s about as close to the river as I am from Birch Bay. That’s pretty darned close. She’s been doing work on it since she moved in, and it’s basically done. I think she’ll take $35,000 for it, which is amazing because I came from L.A. and such prices are things of fever dreams.
Anyway, she says she’s wearing T-shirts. It’s like 60°F there, and she finds it quite toasty compared to here.
She was tired when she got home, and was a bit hungry. She said she wished she had some of my hamhocks and blackeye peas.
Last night, as I was turning off the last light before making my way to the bedroom, I looked down to make sure I wasn’t stepping on Harvey. But he wasn’t there.
