So I'm going to see Rob Schneider tonight for some reason

A good friend has a free ticket for me. I figure at least the company will be good. Anyone know anything about his standup? Does he turn into a stapler or a carrot?

I’ll be curious to hear if there’s anyone there other than the two of you.

…I’ve heard he’s actually pretty popular in Europe. He’s the reason I will NOT see Grownups.

Here’s a clip from his '89 act. That’s all I can find. Based on that, I’m assuming it’s been a while.

Ok, some of that was actually kind of funny, so I have hope. Thanks, man. I’m going now, I’ll let you know how it went.

For me he is only *one *of the reasons.

Well, between him and David Hasselhoff, Europe is stealing all of our National Treasures.

???

Well, it was pretty horrible. His first bits were just straight up racist. And I don’t mean that in a “Don Rickles making fun of everybody way but we love him cause he’s funny” way. More like the crazy ranting uncle who’s had too much to drink and you’re trying to get to shut up. Seriously, he was doing a chinese accent which was bascialy “Me so solly! me so solly!” Then he went into predictable bits about relationships and airlines and middle age which just weren’t funny. For instance, did you know that women are neater than men? Or that airlines charge you for bags now?

We were trying to MSTK it as quietly as possible. When he was going on about old people we thought of yelling “Hey! My grandfather’s old!” or when he was talking about how people’s dogs didn’t really love them saying “Well, not your dog.” That was more fun than the show.

The opening act was ok and the tickets were free, so it wasn’t a total loss.

South Park reference.
