Did you see what she said in the last panel of today’s strip? I think she has something in common with Tiffany now, or at least she wants to…
From the situation in today’s strip, Luann might as well *not * be in college. That art professor is downright clueless. (Notice the closed eyes.)
I swear, those guys she is sitting with look more perceptive!
I think the professor has been clueless from the very beginning.
I did not notice the significance of an Art Teacher with his eyes closed until it was mentioned in this thread.
That’s a trait that could well apply to anyone. Look at Pepe lePew when he has his iron grip on a hapless, mute cat he thinks is a female skunk. Eyes snapped shut.
The guy is teaching art, and he doesn’t look at it.
WTF is up with the classmates in the art class? Red Shirt has a line for a nose and only pupils for eyes. But at least he isn’t deformed like Ski Cap, who only has one eye grotesquely placed high on the side of her(?) forehead
(Do Red Shirt and Ski Cap have names?)
Wow. Who knew there’d be a strip that referred to being transgender. Big props.
I’m waiting for Pru to hit on Lu.
Me too. I think that’s why she’s pushed this trip. Maybe LuAnn is about flip and then become the most controversial “family” cartoon strip on the planet.
…huh. It turns out there actually IS a Morbid Anatomy Museum in New York. It’s no Mutter Museum, but it’s still nothing to sniff at.
Yeah, it’s about a fifteen minute walk from my house. There’s a Museum of Sex, too.
Yeah.
The cartoonist’s daughter is helping write the cartoon script.
Wow.
I have a feeling Luann will soon be transferring to NYU and the comic will follow her.
What happened to Delta, the goth chick, Crystal, and Knute? I can understand the lack of the last two, but it’s like one of her best friends just disappeared. And I understand that happens in real life, but you’d think there’d be some explanation in there.
Delta is attending Howard University, which puts her on the opposite coast from Luann (who is assumed to live in a fictionalized version of San Diego).
This would likely cost Greg Evans a large part of his readers.
So far, he hasn’t seemed like he cares very much. And the flip side is, perhaps by being so progressive, he’ll bring in a whole new stable of fresh blood. It could do wonders.
Thanks, Biffy. I knew she was off at college somewhere, but figured she’d come home some during breaks. I miss her level-headedness, especially compared to Tiffany and Bernice.
And I guess the alienated readers can take a flying leap for the moon, eh?
