It’s going to be “Eucalyptus.”
I have pine furniture and my linens are ivory with a thin eucalyptus stripe.
I’m kind of excited - I just need to decide about my new window treatment - I already have a privacy blind (it’s the same color as the widow trim) - I’m thinking about doing a long pine curtain rod with 4 ivory/white linen/muslin panels - I was going to make the rod the same width as my bed (I have a king), which is wider than the window by about a foot on either side - is that going to look ok?
Does anyone have any thoughts?
I painted hot rod flames on my toilet bowl, so I’m probably the last person to lend good taste, but that sounds like a nice color combo.
Do you eat a lot of mexican food?
Well, I guess it depends on the placement of the bed in relation to the window. If they’re opposite, and you’re going for symmetry with the extra curtainage, that’ll be fine. If the bed’s perpendicular to the window, I doubt the extra width would matter much.
First thing I thought of though, granting that my bedrooms might be smaller than yours, is why give up two foot of wall space that could hold pictures or shelving?
Apparently, World Eater is into self mutilation.
Will it smell like cough drops?
My husband did the same thing to my vacuum cleaner… Why?
** alice_in_wonderland** How elegant, it sounds like an Andrew Wyeth painting. How thick is the curtian rod? If its small, it should look great. Are you going to honor us with pictures of the completed project?
I second this question.
I think those colors are awesome together.
I have decided to not re-paint my bedroom in my recently-purchased condo, which wouldn’t normally be news, except that the color is baby blue.
YES! With a small delay.
My brother used to own a Student Painters business when he was in university (and, oddly, a student). When I asked him if I could borrow his drop cloths and whatnot he insisted on doing the painting himself. He’s a “professional” doncha know.
So, lucky me, my brother is going to paint my room - sadly he won’t have much time to do it any time soon so the pics will be delayed.
Regarding bed placement, I’m going to centre it under the window - the window is about 4’ wide and the bed will hang over about 2’ on either side - I was going to extend the panels the width of the bed, and to the celing to try to balance the beast out. It’s rather monolithic (the head board is about 4’ high, the foot board about 3’) I have a large bed room but currently the bed is really dominating.
Regarding the smell - I dunno, I’m guessing paint will dominate for at least a little while.
No, but anything I cook usually has the same effect.
I dunno Picunurse, us stupid guys and our hot rod flames, a match made in heaven.
Good luck with everything Alice, keep us posted and get those pics up soon.
