So I've found the SECOND most addicting game to exist on the internet. No, really.

Generally, I can make it in the mid-180s with a daily before I have to finish it. Would you recommend just portaling at that point rather than trying to squeeze more helium out of 180-200?

Also, what level should I be aiming at for my challenge^2? I’ve done about half the available ones and I’ve managed to get most of them up to 140-150 before it becomes impossibly slow (notwithstanding Trimp and Coordinate, which I’ve only made it up to the 30s in).

So I’m much earlier in the game; Level 63 or so after a half-dozen portals.

How are people getting the “Humane Run” achieves? According to the achieve color code I should easily be able to get the “Get to Level 5 losing no more than one battle per zone” one, but I’m nowhere close. I usually lose my first couple battle before I even get the ability to build equipment or mine, so I’m sort of at a loss how to even get to the point where I could throw equipment levels at it.

I assume there’s a trick I’m not seeing?

The Humane Run achievements were added to the game fairly recently (in version 4.5 I think), and it’s possible the main motivation for making the first one a 0.3% achievement was to make the total sum of all achievements be an integer instead of 3672.7%, or whatever it was.

I have no real strategy tips, as the achievement was trivial for me when it was introduced, but one thing you can do is take a look at Perky and see what it recommends for you. If it suggests a radically different perk setup, there may be significant optimisations you could do. But the achievement may also just be harder than one would expect it to be.

I usually run a Daily Challenge until I worry about void maps becoming too difficult. Then I run the voids and run a few more zones with the Daily still active. After completing the daily, any Helium earned isn’t being multiplied. Maybe run a few zones for Dark Essence if it will get you a new Mastery.

At your level, the repeatable Helium challenges may be more lucrative and easier than many of the Dailies. Lead is easy since it boosts your attack and resources. Corrupted is great too when you get to the point where Zone 190 takes no time. [ETA: Remember to run all void maps before finishing the Helium challenge!]

Every time you buy a new level of Coordinated perk, you’ll see a huge improvement in your He/hr. I used Zxv 3 to optimize my perks prior to completing the Spire.

If you’re like me, your progress will come to a screeching halt when you try to get past Zone 230. That’s probably a good time to start looking at completing the entire Spire.

(Unrelated note: when you finish the Spire, go ahead and buy a few levels of Looting II but mostly keep focusing on Coordinated. IMHO, from zone 125 to zone 400 the biggest thing slowing down the game is falling behind on army size. It took me forever to beat the Spire and get past zone 231, but then I started buying all the Coordinated I could and used Zxv 3 to distribute the rest of my helium, and 3 months later I’ve beaten Spire III at zone 400.)

Maybe someone else can chime in on the appropriate levels of Challenge^2. I think most of mine were 20-33% when I did the Spire.

Have you done the Scientist challenges? Scientist II unlocks T2 equipment upon portal.

Yes, but you can’t actually buy any of it, because it take gems. Those don’t become available for several zones.

Unless you buy the bone upgrade that lets gems drop in the world. You should be able to start upgrading right away with that one.

Yes, Feyimps will get you the gems you need for the first few prestiges. But probably best not to spend too much time on an achievement with little benefit that will come effortlessly later on.

Ironically, I had the opposite problem when I was trying to do the achievement beating Crushed while always having block higher than health after zone 5. Until your first army dies, your block is 0. By the time I attempted the achievement, my perks were too high to die in zone 5.

I finally got the Obliterate achievement. Good grief. It took almost all day with an autoclicker, good thing I was at work for most of it.

I just got the Very Sneaky award. It’s a tricky one that requires a lot of manual switching, hot keys and such. Now all I have left is the z500 achievement, the last 2 humane runs, the 4th Spire III achievement, and all the Spire IVs.

I’ve just now gotten to where I can get past lvl 155. I can now go from H formation to D on the World maps, but I still feel like I’m spinning my wheels. Would any of you success stories mind posting a screenshot of your perks so I can see where I’m wasting resources? Non-hackers, plz.

Use Perky - it should help out a lot.

Just finished my first run of Corrupted. It took a few days and it was a bit of a marathon towards the end because of how much corruption was on the map at that point, but it landed me nearly 12 million helium as opposed to the 2-3 million daily challenges have been getting me. A few more of those and I should be able to start making some forays into the Spire.

Oh, how I’ve come to loathe that moment when you use the max button to buy as many nurseries as you can afford, forget to switch back to 1, then accidentally max out your geneticists sending your breed time into thousands of years, and you have to race to close the window before it autosaves and you have to fire all the geneticists wasting your resources in the process.

Thanks! Running a lot smoother now!

I usually keep Nursery/Geneticist ratio enough to make breed time 3 seconds, unless the enemy imp is really fast and tough.

I’ve always kept mine at 30 seconds to get the maximum attack bonus from Anticipation. The guides I’ve been reading for Spire say to crank it up to 10 minutes or so when I’m ready to try for the endzone.

Yup. It seems like a pain in the ass, but it really helps. You’ll want to turn it off once it becomes clear you’re hitting a wall (just to keep you from waiting), but it’s a good adjustment to make.

4.7 is out. Mostly stuff for the mid and late game, though the new achievement type is for everyone.

I accidentally had MAX on when hiring Geneticists and left the machine. When I came back, I got an achievement for taking 10 minutes to breed and+20% damage.
