Sunday ~ Desperate Housewives. I refuse to watch Gray’s Anatomy, I’m still in mourning over Boston Legal
Monday ~ Las Vegas, Medium
Tuesday~ my son’s night to play Evercrack
Wednesday ~ South Park
Thursday, Friday ~ flip around and watch whatever movie I haven’t seen in forever
Saturday ~ TV is turned off
Oh, and I love to rent whole seasons of shows. Shows that I have watched exclusively on DVD:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Sex and the City
Sopranos
Angel
Six Feet Under
Deadwood
and I am about to start in on Oz.
GAH! Thanks, Susie. The Sopranos when it starts up again, and also Nip/Tuck
Well, I can’t really give specific days of the week, since I have the DVR set to record my shows and I watch 'em whenever, but the list is:
All three CSIs
Three of the four Law & Orders (gave up on the original)
American Idol
House, M.D.(I agree, SR47 – I think this may be my favorite of the bunch)
Without A Trace
Numb3rs
The Simpsons
Cold Case
The Office
Monk
Jeopardy
If it’s football season, then Sundays are spend on the couch from 1:00 to midnight, plus the Monday night game (add extra couch time if there are odd-day games that week).
If it’s basketball season and my wife isn’t home, then I’ll try to catch the Knicks or Nets if they’re playing. If either team is in the playoffs, then I make a serious effort to catch every game. (grumble grumble frickin’ Miami Heat grumble grumble)
Deadwood and The Apprentice are my only never-miss and must- watch-the-first-showing-when-it-airs programs.
I Tivo The Daily Show and Simply Quilts.
Sunday: Baseball and news, movies on cable, History and Discovery channels
Monday: Las Vegas, and let’s just assume any baseball game that is playing, all week
Tuesday: Scrubs
Wednesday: Lost
Thursday:
Friday: Battlestar Galactica
Saturday:
If we didn’t have a DVD player and digital cable…
Oh, and the Food Channel. I like Alton, and have a serious crush on Rachel Ray.
I try not to miss the Daily Show -Comedy Central and Jeopardy - ABC (stop screaming Geek!)
And Fox News Watch - FNC.
Scrubs - NBC
Sometimes I catch American Idol (Fox), and a lot of random stuff on VH1, Discovery, DiscoveryTimes (which is a very good channel IMHO) and History.
Usually if there’s nothing interesting on I just tune in to VH1
Sunday: Nextel Cup Race or football as the season dictates. Fox from 8-10pm (Simpsons, Malcolm, Arrested, NOT the loathsome Family Guy).
Monday: Inside Nextel Cup Racing (Speed Channel)
Tues, Wed Thurs: Nothing
Fri and Sat nights: My weekly videos of Scrubs, The Shield, Reno 911 if it ever comes back, and I’ll usually watch the previous Sunday’s Simpsons and Arrested again.
Saturday a.m.: Petkeeping with Marc Morrone and the New Yankee Workshop*
*I’d just like to mention that I could make a freakin’ grandfather clock too, if I had every freakin’ power tool ever created, a work room the size of a zeppelin hangar, and an unlimited supply of fancy-shmancy hard wood. No I couldn’t (sigh)
Sunday
Grey’s Anatomy
Monday
Nothing - TV wasteland
Tuesday
Amazing Race is the only “must see” on Tuesday for me, I’ll catch AI if I happen to be around the TV
Wed
Lost, Alias - now Eyes, I used to turn off the TV after Alias
Thurs
Survivor, Apprentice (but really losing interest this season), ER
Fri/Sat - nothing
Well, let’s see…the only ones I take pains to watch live are:
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Desperate Housewives
ER
Numbers
Battlestar Galactica
Huh. Less than I thought there would be. But, on other nights, I watch the stuff that accumulated on the DVR. That includes The Simpsons, X-Play, Futurama, Invader Zim, South Park, Robot Chicken, and the occasional movie.
I work in the evening, so I’m not a casual TV wathcer. I have to plan on taping a show before I go to work.
Sundays: Fox’s animation line-up. I’ve been watching Gray’s Anatomy but I’m on the verge of giving up on it.
Monday: Nothing
Tuesday: Veronica Mars
Wendesday: Lost. If Lost if a rerun, America’s Next Top Model. West Wing when it’s on.
Thursday: Survivor. CSI.
Friday: America’s Next Top Model if I didn’t watch it Weds
Saturday: Nothing
I was watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force everynight but I haven’t been since they rescheduled it. I also occasionally watch some late night cartoons on Comedy Channel like South Park, Drawn Together, Duckman, or Creature Comforts.
Me too, and ME TOO.
Sunday – Arrested Development, Desperate Housewives
Monday – Channel surf.
Tuesday – American Idol, channel surf
Wednesday – AI results show
Thursday – Surf
Friday – Surf, if I’m home
Saturday – Cops and AMW, if I’m home
Channel Surfing – will stop for several shows on HGTV, The Soup, Gastineu Girls, Sports Century, Biography, Growing Up Gotti, Chasing Farrah, FSN Sports List, Movies, old TV reruns, and MSNBC to fill in the blanks
The only shows I go out of my way to watch are new episodes of Family Guy and South Park. Additionally, I will generally watch any sports games that are on involving any of the following: Patriots, Ravens, virtually any other football team I remotely care about, Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, UConn basketball (mens or womens).
I would watch Pardon the Interruption daily but I am usually at the gym when it’s on. When my schedule is different, I make the effort. Same goes for Baseball Tonight - I love to watch it, but I’m usually in the middle of something at 10pm.
There’s a bunch of stuff on the Cartoon Network that I will watch if it’s on and I’m bored, but that I won’t go out of the way for. That’s definitely the station that entertains me the most with a regular non-sports lineup, though. The only time my television touches any of the network channels is usually football season and March Madness (and Family Guy I guess now that it’s back) - for the most part, they are worthless to me.
I also watch various West Wing, Sports Night, Futurama, and Firefly DVDs as a way to relax when nothing I care about is on. On a weekly basis I probably watch more TV-on-DVD than actual TV, unless there are a bunch of good sporting events on that week. I love being able to get through an episode in 20 or 40ish minutes, not having to deal with commercials, etc. - it makes the experience much more enjoyable for me.
My television viewing habits are far too sporadic for me to watch shows regularly. Usually I’ll just watch whatever’s on History Channel when I’m eating. I just don’t have the attention span and discipline to watch a show regularly. I might catch the first two episodes, but I’ll slip very soon after, even if it’s something I really like, like Justice League.
Can’t be too snobby about it, though, because I do watch dvd sets of tv shows, like Firefly (and Buffy, soon enough).
Monday: Two and a Half Men, CSI: Miami
Tuesday: House
Wednesday: The West Wing
Thursday: CSI
Friday: Numb3rs
Sunday: Simpsons, Arrested Development, Desperate Housewives
That more than usual for me. Quite likely, the West Wing will drop off next season. I’m also beginning to find CSI: Miami a bit tedious.
Regularly as in apointment TV?:
Letterman, Jeopardy, Conan and Cops.
If I stumble across it when its on:
Scrubs and Vegas.
Unclviny
Simpsons
60 Minutes, until our daughter discovered America’s Funniest Home Videosd
reruns of Sherlock Holmes and Nero Wolfe on the Biography Channel
Law and Order
Tonight Show, especuially on Mondays
Network News
Pepper Mill has a longer list, with several Law and Order and CSO clones, Medium, House, E.R., What Not to Wear (US and UK editions) and Antiques Roadshow.
MilliCal watches a lot of Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network and Disney, along with America’s Haunted Hotels on the Travel Channel.
Tuesday: House, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit
Weekend: What Not to Wear, Ebert and Roeper
That’s all I watch during school. Once the semester ends in a couple of weeks, I’ll surely be watching more, like Boston Legal and The Simpsons. I loved the first season of Arrested Development but I missed too many of this season’s episodes so I’m just waiting for the DVD to come out.
Monday: Medium
Tuesday: American Idol; House
Wednesday: Lost; American Idol
Thursday: ER
Friday: Enterprise and Joan of Arcadia (taped due to conflicting time slot); sometimes I watched JAG but not religiously
Saturday: reruns of Twilight Zone and X Files
Sunday: Buffy rerun; Malcolm in the middle; Desperate Housewives; Boston Legal or Grey’s Anatomy–whichever one is on
