What? Features coming up in the paper or local events?
If the first I’d make it sort of ‘Upcoming in XXX’ where XXX is the name of the paper.
If the second I’d make it more homey like ‘Local Events of Interest’ or somesuch.
Got a column coming up?
Basically, we’re going from week in review to week in preview but we’re trying to find a catchy title…(ya got me…I thought ‘week in preview’ would be ok)
Citizens, look here or else?
You have to admit, it’s got a certain ring to it…
Yeah, like you’re warning them about the upcoming ‘serial killer’ tour coming through town.
Keep it straightforward. Don’t overcomplicate.
What about something like ‘Habit-forming happenings’? That’s sort of edgy and self descriptive.
“Coming up next”?
Jonathan I do like ‘habit forming happenings’ but there’s something about that that seems too complicated. I don’t know why.
Tpayne ‘coming up next’ good, too, but not catchy…
(I obviously suck at coming up with these so I appreciate the input, believe me).
how about:
Resident round up?
Nah. It not only has to be catchy but self-explanatory, too. That sounds like the cops are out filling up the death camps again.
‘Prognostications’
Coming attractions.
Upcoming events.
Weekly Planner.
Stuff to do.
How about
Distractions
Er. No, sounds to much like the consequences of the Patriot Act. Could cause panic .
I swear this wasn’t here when I hit reply. Well…great minds…
“On Deck” ?
That’s all I’ve got right now, but I’ll think about it.

I’ve seen “What’s Happening.”
I can’t think of any catchy titles off-hand, but I must say that “Week in Preview” would be a bad title. Simply because I can see a lot of people, doing a quick scan of the paper, confusing it with “Week in Review”.
Anyhoo…
Jonathan Chance , remind me to ask you for advice when I’m working for a cool magazine…I totally dig “distractions” – just wouldn’t fly at my present gig.
Good gosh – ok, the “resident roundup” has been trashed – thank you guys for pointing out that it may be in bad taste.
Cookie, mi amigo!
I’ve got it!

“Upcoming Distractions”
What do you think?
“Did you think about your bills, your ex, your deadline…or when you think you’re gonna die? Or did you long for the next distraction?” To which both my and Lady Chance’s answer has always been “Distraction, please!”
