So, Mitt Romney "...had no desire to ... run" according to his son, Tagg

What?! You don’t eat the gristle?!

Don’t forget the marrow! It’s the latest trend in high end cuisine.

You’re speaking purely as a poster here, correct? This is not a Mod suggesting which political topics we should and shouldn’t be discussing, right?

Just checking. Because I might have forceful responses to your post, depending on whether or not you’re addressing us purely as another poster here.

Much of the world is grateful to Mitt for going on his overseas tour before the election. All that faux gravitas and authority was hugely entertaining.

He was too good to keep to ourselves.

Yes, if Romney lets this statement stand, he’ll have burned his bridges with the Republican Party. It’s basically saying that Romney was forced to run because he found all of the other candidates to be hopeless. And they in turn, will claim that Romney lost the 2012 election because he wasn’t committed to winning and he should have stepped aside.

Mitt does have a way of distancing himself from things.
Like the way he disavowed any interest in his horse just before the Olympics.
You don’t do that to a horse before her biggest day. Rafalca probably shed many a tear in her stable that night.

He was … (sniff) … too beautiful to live, man. Just … too beautiful …

I dunno, wanting to cut off Obama’s nuts didn’t hurt Jesse Jackson so much.

Yes it did.

Well, then…there it is.

Every family has a Tagg. The family doofus who says stuff they think is helpful but somehow is always the wrong thing. My favorite has always been Billy Carter but G.W. Bush is a close second because he managed to become president. Watch for Tagg in 2040.

Tagg is 42 and he will be 70 in 2040. People forget this occasionally when talking about Mitt Romney’s children - I know I did - but they’re not kids. They’re in their 30s and 40s.

Curse you and your fancy math. I was going to say 2020 and changed at the last second. But wait, maybe Tagg will be the long prophesied second coming of Reagan, who was just shy of 70 at inauguration. You heard it here first.

Hopefully we’ll be spared the spectacle of Tagg Beer.

Obviously he had to apply for the job so he could keep drawing unemployment.

In fact he has to run for at least two presidencies every week, but he’s really hoping he won’t win any of them, especially Somalia.

Are you kidding? If he got elected to Somalia’s presidency, he could get rid of all the oppressive regulations that are ruining that country.

I will grant that he could help with Somalia’s stifling gun control legislation, but I find the rest of their legal system to be refreshingly Libertarian.
