So tell me about you.

Golly. this is a warm and very human thread. My respect.

As for me, I am a medically retired lawyer in New Zealand. My beautiful Ducati did not go around a bend. Helicopter, hospital, many doctors etc. Bugger.

Still, am living where I spent 25 years planning for, near Queenstown a tourist icon. On a rural block with a stream which is peaceful. Pretty much nirvana on a global sense.

Two cats and a heap of willow trees which I try to reduce with my Stihl chainsaw. It is a battle.

I volunteer at the local library. My wife lives 4 hours away where our youngest daughter is at university. She is doing an odd mix of law and zoology which is exactly what I would have done if I could, 35yrs ago. We have delightful arguments.

65 year old woman here. I am widowed, retired, and live in Nebraska. I like motorcycles, (just bought a 2018 Can Am Spyder for my birthday.) I like to travel, by motorcycle, car, or train. I do some volunteering, crafts, and whatever else I can think of to keep busy. I’m pretty much a morning person, usually up between 5-5:30.

It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin’ on the porch with my family, singin’ and dancin’ down in Mississippi…

Late 40s white female. Married to another female. Lived in London for 20 years, but the last 5 in Bristol (SW England). I’m a creative by profession, but am at the point in my career where I spend more time talking about it and looking over shoulders than actually doing it. And I’m kind of ok with that.

I spend all my spare money on wine and food (potentially in that order), and expensive hotels - I’m beyond slumming it. Airb&b is not for me. I’m in love with Italy and all it possesses, I feel less sure about my maltese dog, who is adorable and financially draining in equal measure. He makes good arm candy, as does my wife.

They often call me Speedo…
but my real name is Mr. Earl.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.

Coo Coo Ka Joob!

I’m a Southerner who grew up on a military base in Massachusetts. Made it back to Arkansas just before turning ten. Took a couple years to lose my boston accent. I still love a good frappe.

Programmer by profession but I primarily do computer support now. Less typing and less wrist pain.

Love hiking and backpacking. My trips are shorter as I’ve gotten older. I take less chances and choose safer trails.

Play guitar and sing. I love music.

Married and father of two daughters. Both in college. I need a GoFund me drive ASAP.

My mother’s maiden name is “Lee.”

My first pet’s name was “Birthday.”

My 1st grade teacher’s name was “Mrs. Jones.”

My first car was a 1989 Nissan Stanza.

My hometown is Parole, MD.

My high school’s mascot was the “Wildcats.”

My favorite movie is “I Spit On Your Grave.”

Do you need my PIN number too, or is that enough?

Mostly harmless.

I know, I was just kidding.

But you should be really careful about what information you put on the internet, “anonymous” or not.

I was born in the wagon of a travelling show; my mama used to dance for the money they’d throw

I’m a middle aged, SWF

I have Maine Coon cat named Cosmo

One of these things is a lie

I’m retired after having done a variety of jobs. The one that liked most and simultaneously drove me nuts was being a dog groomer. The dogs were mostly fine but the owners, well… Now I occasionally petsit for a bit of extra money. My last and favorite volunteer job was at a public garden deadheading their 80, give or take, rose bushes. If I hadn’t moved from that area, I’d probably be doing that again.

I spend too much time online. When I’m not doing that I might be doing something artsy or literary but mainly, you’d probably catch me daydreaming instead of doing anything at all. I like word games and would like to find someone in this area to play Scrabble with.

The Big Crow and I have a cat but no kids together. He has a grown daughter in another state while I have no offspring at all. I am, however, incredibly proud my two nieces, who are entering adulthood with grace and aplomb. (Not their names, by the way. :stuck_out_tongue: )

I’m the guy who never could live life in a straight line. That’s why I’m 64 and my son is 11. I remember the 1950s; he might live to see the beginning of the 22nd century. Flips me out.

I live in the DC exurbs near the Chesapeake Bay, I’m a PhD mathematician making his living as a statistician. Enjoy discussing/debating politics on the Web, but like getting outdoors on my bike or a hiking trail when I can.

I know you know what you know but you should know by now that you’re not me. - Rutles

I’m a technical support specialist at a suburban school district in the greater metropolitan Chicago area. I’m probably a couple of decades or more away from retirement, but, fortunately, I really like my job.

I’m very happily single, love physical conditioning and sports in general, am a movie buff, play chess, and am a black belt in martial arts. I like going out to clubs, having a few drinks, and listening to good music.

Education wise, I have an M.A. tech certificates, and am well read.

Born in the U.S.A.

I’m a 38 year old white British guy. Even in my neuroses and insecurities, I am predictably dull.

Other than the first three months of my life, I have always lived within 75 miles of the western shore of Lake Michigan.

Awesome. Your life reflects mine. Thank you for sharing,

I’ve written a couple of books. They’re young adult fiction, sort of. They’re on Amazon. Go buy them. (Or if you’re on Prime and don’t mind ebooks, read them for free. You cheapskate.)
