The old board had me at a post count approacing 1,000. Now I’m back to double-digits.
What gives (he asks so innocently)?

That’s odd, I seem to have mine. Unless I had a lot more than I thought I did before the great crash…
I had over 3,000 posts, and I signed up in Sept. 1999. This is my first post back on the “new” boards. Let’s see what my post count is now!

Huh. Well, that’s strange. I was sure I had over 3,000. I obviously lost a few. No big deal.
I’m just curious what my post-count is at. I know it was over 3000 before the board crashed.
I got knocked back down to 370 from over 600. I think there was some problem where they lost everything from Dec 7, 2001. I don’t really care about losing the posts, I’m just glad the board is back up.

I was approaching my birth year (1974). I was really looking forward to it. Now I’m back in the 15th century. Oh boy, I get to live through Richard III again, sigh.
Oh well, what I’m most sad about are my handfull of threads that I started that are gone. (wow, eek looks bad, terrible, awful, something has to be done about him)

I passed 300 just last month.
Gone–all gone.
So does this mean that those of us who dropped several hundred posts (about 400-500 in my case IIRC) now drop back down to “annoying newbie” status?!

I love it. When I think of all those desperate, pathetic post-padding threads and post-count parties gone forever and their effect evaporated I just can’t help a dry chortle.
Of course I’m about to see what my post count has dropped to. Certainly below 2000 again I should think. Sob.
