Last we heard, our heros had melted down and appeared to have staged some sort of mutiny. One player had requested an audience with the French President to explain what ever.
So what sort of reaction did the team get, it sorta dropped off the radar over here.

i think there is a government inquiry being done in France. Aklso, as I remember it it was a spat between the players and the coach, which led to the government losing their marbles and sending ministers to the team. I think it was also the president that wanted to talk to some players and not the other way around.
The latest I’ve heard is that some players are suspended, while others quit the national team. I also believe the players are a somewhat united front and blame the manager for the whole thing.

Laurent Blanc, the new manager of the French national team, has said that he will evaluate all of the players on a clean slate and will not hold the “insurrection” of the recent World Cup against them.
So they’ve avoided the guillotine?
