There was a FIRE?
I was concerned because I just got a new computer and am still trying to get the hang of it. Being only slightly better at technology than, say, a chimpanzee, and my computer instructor lives 3 hours away, I was afraid it was something I was doing wrong that I couldn’t get the SD.
Inquiring minds want to know - did you mean an actual, real, honest-to-{diety of choice} fire?!?

I blame tthe whole thing on an invisible wombat in the hamster cages. Or maybe Marley getting incautious with the Banhammer.
Googling around I see that the only fire was at Joe’s Muffler Repair and Internet Hosting, I think I just found the SDMB’s host…
And you were wondering why some of the responses seemed muffled lately? 
Are we certain that the mods aren’t trying to drive us insane a la Charles Boyer in ‘Gaslight’?

I was just writing about our Winter of Missed Content.
Eerie.
I was forced to pick up a smoking habit. Only got through half a pack, though.
I had assumed that my Internet had went down again and restarted my modem. Then I, and I know this is hard to believe, found some other things on the Internet to occupy my time. I know, I know, the idea that there’s something else on the net than this board is weird.
I thought this place shuffled off with buffalo.
I went elsewhere and found out it was possible.
Today I find not so much.
So when did we move the hamsters to Tucson?
And, can we really trust people who can’t spell “voice?”
I was forced to watch TV…with commercials. Thank goodness we’re back.
So, Monday the boards go down and then tonight our cable goes out. I think somebody must be trying to tell me something.
Like “Get a life!”
Nah, you don’t need to worry about it till the Dope and the cable are both unavailable simultaneously.
