In the final episode of The Osbournes, a number of bad things happen, and Ozzy is left shuffling around alone. Then we learn that it was an act, the dog is alive and whatnot. Was it ever determined just how much of it was real and how much was scripted?
That wasn’t the final episode, that was the season finale for season two. They did two more seasons after that. It’s rumoured that the episode you’re talking about was supposed to be the final one, but Sharon signed on again after it was taped and aired, basically making the joke episode worthless. As for your question, Ozzy and Sharon have both said none of the show was scripted besides that episode, and that’s about the most official word you’ll get on it.
What do I think? I think I wish Sharon’s horrible pack of dogs would eat her so Ozzy could enjoy his retirement in peace and quiet.
