So, what's your home page?

Right. And in Internet Explorer, you’ll see it in Tools > Internet Options, under the “General” tab - click “Use blank” (which will automatically fill the text box above with “about:blank”).

I downloaded a Firefox add-on called “Morning Coffee” that does precisely what you ask.

Ditto.

Am I the only one who has their very own personalised start page on their home machine? As in, basic HTML on the web space I get with my ISP. I play around with it once in a while, adding and removing links. There’s a unobtrusive link on it to NSFW sites, but I could open it at work during lunch and go to my favourite sites.

However, at work, it’s my company’s webpage, so when I fire up the browser, if the boss is there, it’s all good.

My isp so I can keep track of my useage.

Chrome has no homepage.

On Firefox, h2g2.

That’s not a bad idea, never thought of it. I could even incorporate a Google Search blank into it.

Agreed. I’m still sticking with Yahoo out of sheer inertia, but their new page is loathsome.

Onelook.com

At work it’s the company intranet (Created and maintaind by yours truly)

At home it’s google.

I’m too old to do so, but I still use Gamefaqs.com

It is simple to run and loads quickly. That’s all.

Wow, that’s a sweet add-on. Thanks for pointing that out.

Opera has a built in content blocker, and you can download a file which contains a list of ads to block, just like Adblock Plus does in Firefox.

Note: Remember to close Opera while you replace the file.

I use this, but the first load on start is what I used last, then if I close and restart the browser again, I get the preassigned home pages.

I just answered Firefox’s questions when I started it in Ubuntu the first time.

The first tab is my gmail.

This is my answer exactly.

google

depends which browser i open.

firefox: google
chrome: gmail
ie, safari: blank
