Not to be a buzz-kill or anything guys, but I did give people until the first week in August to send their packages. That means they still have another week before their package is late.
Additionally, I did mention that after the first week of August, if people hadn’t received anything yet, I would look into it.

Maybe some people will get two elephants then. But I doubt everybody who hasn’t received something, is because their senders are waiting until the last week. There are stranded elephantees everytime.

You guys carry on - sending more packages is a great idea. I would be interested in knowing who never receives a package from their original sender. Should I organize another one of these I would perhaps be hesitant about including the non-senders again.
FWIW, I WASN’T* aeseron’s sender - however, if he doesn’t receive a package I was going to send one myself. Same for everyone else.
Additionally, I haven’t receive ANY e-mails from folks either saying they’re not sending, or that they haven’t received yet, so I wasn’t really aware of the delay for some folks.
Anyhow - as I said, carry on. I certainly don’t mind if some of you want to have an elephant within an elephant, that’s just fine.

Sorry… I didn’t mean to cause a scene or anything. I’m a little leery of the postal service right now due to them losing a wedding present I had mailed to some friends a few months ago and when I never got my package and you never posted saying you got yours, I was a little freaked.

Anyhow - it would be helpful if non-receivers could drop me a line about not having received so I can follow up with the people who were assigned them.
When people signed up they agreed to send out packages - it makes me grumpy when people reneg on their responsibilites and don’t even bother to send a note to me (as I asked) to let me know they wern’t going to be able to follow through.

It may not be late to you but it is to me since I sent the damned thing two and a half weeks ago. I am not liking USPS much at all right now.

Well, I don’t know why, actually, but I do know that when I order from e-bay the postage marks and claims stamps indicated that stuff was shipped and arrived at customs in a timely fashion, and then delayed for aeons.

Ok, I e-mail the non-senders and have received NO response from any of them.
So, I’m going to reassign those who haven’t yet received anything to a new person and the non-senders are now striken from the list of those who may participate in future events. Further, if someone else decides to be the organizer, they WILL be getting an e-mail from me detailing those persons who never bothered to send anything, 'cus frankly, it pisses me right off.
Anyhow - I know I have a couple of people who have volunteered in this thread to send items out - would those folks be so kind as to send me an e-mail to that affect?
