Well, CNN is already shoveling blame in Bush’s direction.

Some snarky comment was made about the La. National Guard being on duty in Iraq and unavailable. There are 8000 NG still in Louisiana, plus Texas is standing by to aid if needed.

I wonder how long it will be before Bush is blamed for causing the hurricane.

They might be thinking about the money that was diverted to Iraq. You know, the money that was supposed to be used to fix up the levees in just this sort of circumstance. The flow of cash that had been earmarked for this task dried up in 2003.
