I got your Usless Nut right here Pally! ** Shakes feminine crotch **(note my location)
Seriously, Michigan can’t seem to get it up and the stupid way the big 10 schedules we’ll never know what leauge team truly is the best.
I wouldn’t quite give it to either of them just yet. But, we’ll check back in the Pit on Jan 2 to see the results. Words aren’t too hard to eat when delivered with such enthusiasm.
I’m an Ohioian so I’m rooting for the Bucks, but the perverted side of me is rooting for a BCS trainwreck. If Ohio State loses to Michigan and Miami loses two of its last 3 (and what kind of whacked out scheduling allows Miami to still have 3 games left to play halfway through November?) then what happens? Do we get Washington State vs. Iowa in the Fiesta Bowl, with howls of protest from Notre Dame, Georgia and Oklahoma? It’d be like that skater at the Olympics who won the gold medal because everyone in front of him tripped and fell down in a heap.
I will begin by admitting that the Miami of Flawiduh Convict-canes are indeed a very good team and that they may very well repeat as Mythical National Champions.
That being said, I cannot stand the Convictcanes (or the equally corrupt and disgraceful Flawiduh State Criminoles) and I hope that Pittsburgh beats Miami, or that they lose to someone else on their remaining schedule. Fortunately, the Criminoles have already been eliminated from the NC picture. If I was the czar of college sports, both Miami of Flawiduh and Flawiduh State would be permanently banned. They have done and continue to do too many things that are a blight on the image of collegiate sports, and the college sports world would be better off without them.
I wish that my Wolverines still had a shot at the National Championship, but that is not the case. This is what I’d like to see happen. Michigan beats Ohio State, knocking the Buckeyes out of the national championship game. I want the Convict-canes to lose at least one of their remaining regular season games and drop out of the national championship game. Then, at least a couple of the current 3 through 6 teams in the BCS (Washington State, Oklahoma, Notre Lame, Georgia) lose at least one more regular season game. This would almost certainly bump Iowa up into either the number 1 or 2 spot, and can you see where I as a Michigan fan am going with this?
Michigan could make the trip to Pasadena!!!
The Buckeyes can settle for the Capitol One Bowl, or whatever the corporate sponsor of the Citrus Bowl is this year.
Glad to see the ability of the average football fan to have fun is not dead yet! I’ll be checking back in the Pit for your apologies on Sunday (or,er…posting my own)
WSLer Not that I care who plays whom, or who wins, but it seems I recall a game Tempe, 1986 I believe, when another “unbeatable” Miami team (11-0, outscored opponents 420 to 136) showed up at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in their comouflage fatigues, and then after all the hype, went out and got their asses whipped (14-10) by an underdog team in ugly, generic, uniforms.
Two words - Maurice Clarett. Not only is Ohio State 12-0, but Maurice is back. Ohio State will stomp Michigan with Maurice on the field. In nine games, Clarett has rushed for 1,071 yards and scored 15 touchdowns. He has six 100-yard games. Watching him play is like is like watching a force of nature in action. Boy, can that kid move the pile. My money’s on the Bucks.
Plus, I think Maurice is kinda cute in a babyfaced sort of way.
Jerry Bear, Not that I don’t agree that FSU and Miami, Fla have played fast and easy with the NCAA rules in the past, but do you have cites for their current ills?
Meanwhile, I hope that both OSU and Miami lose so that WSU can get into the championship. That would make a team that lost to OSU be ranked ahead of them.
WE NEED A PLAYOFF FOR DIVISON 1 FOOTBALL LIKE ALL THE OTHER NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!
i’m gonna have to disagree with the prospect of miami staying undefeated. today, they have Pitt. and dec. 7 they have VT. i’m hoping for Pitt. to put them away today, but if not, i hold that VT will miraculously pull it off
There’s something so deliciously ironic about a Michigan fan calling another team convicts right after Michigan was forced to forfeit 4 years worth of victories.
They won’t even make it to the championship game. Despite our three losses in a row, Va. Tech is gonna bounce back and defeat the Hurricanes in our final game. You heard it here first.
As a quick aside, is there any team more overlooked than Washington State? Perhaps it’s because I live on the east coast, but I bet only 10% of the sports fans could accurately peg them as the 3rd ranked team in the BCS.
Well, OH State certainly got some good calls, not the least of which was that TD they called back when it didn’t look like there was any interfearance to me, but overall, a great game between two medicore teams. I was singularly unimpressed with OH, and this makes it three weeks in a row that they have had to struggle to win. Not the makings of a National Champion, IMO, and it is too bad that we won’t get to see them against Iowa, but congrats for the win.
