Eh, not so great. This is the second weekend in a row where all my plans have fallen through, and I’m left stuck at home by myself.

I’m feeling very unloved, and unwanted, right about now.

-Lanna

Well, let’s see. I’m at work, and I work tomorrow like usual. 12 more hours. Ugh.

On the otyher hand, my cool boss let me have Sunday off (it was our scheduled overtime). So I might actually be in the mood to do something this Halloween weekend!

If nothing else, I’m gonna drink Saturday night.

And you’re right wireless. All these “doing great” replies made my day.

Oh, and Unclebeer? You’re just jealous 'cause you didn’t think of posting something like this. Sspppbbbbbbbbbtt!

You say “cheesy” like that’s a BAD thing.

Doin’ fine.

My fake blood and chicken guts was a smash at college today.

And now, for my next trick, I will talk in spooky half-references.

It’s ok Lanna, we all love you. Just be glad it’s Halloween and not Christmas!

Life is sucking the big dirty dipstick right now.

My research went well today. That’s about it, though.

My whole place smells like burned popcorn. I put it in the nuker for four minutes and went to the bathroom. When I got out, it was still popping normally. As soon as it slowed down, I turned the nuker off. When I opened it up, I almost died from smoke inhalation. I had to open the bag, pour water in it, and run it downstairs to the dumpster, which is probably on fire right now. That, however, is not my fucking problem.

I think every friend I have is avoiding me, and I don’t have that many. I can’t count the number of plans I’ve had fall through this week.

I have to work tomorrow. At work, I have to clean a bunch of computers with this solution that’s just about as acrid as this fucking popcorn smoke. I’m nearly in tears right now–I was ten minutes ago when I got all the smoke in my face.

Is there something that I can use to get the smell out of my microwave?

This is a weird idea, Drain, but maybe you could nuke something sweet smelling to get rid of it?
I am not sure if that would work, though.
I was thinking maybe ice cream or something.

Maybe you could spray some lysol or something, and then wipe it down real good.

Sorry, just a couple of ideas, I haven’t had a popcorn burning. You know, with my microwave sometimes a bad smell will go away after it airs out.

Just some ideas. From, someone who isn’t quite Heloise.

Men Are For Arse, Women Are For Penis

I found a whole bunch of pictures of myself, friends and family. There was one picture of me that was taken in either sixth or seventh grade, although I think it was seventh. This was when I was universally called ugly. I looked at it today from a sixteen-year vantage point, and I can see that I was not ugly. Not beautiful, glamorous or hot, but definitely not ugly. I guess after the millionth or so time you hear something, it begins to stick, whether it’s true or not.

Not bad. The new PigeonMan is due and I can’t think of a punchline (urgh!) but that’s okay, I have faith in my brain.

I have, through the wonders of the WWW, met some people who could become fun friends, and they’ve invited me to a BBQ on Tuesday.

However, I miss ChrisCTP something chronic. She hasn’t been online on ICQ all week. :frowning:

And a local ICQ friend of mine is feeling pretty miserable, but isn’t willing yet for us to meet up for the hug she needs.

Overall - not too awful. Could be better.

“Vyvyan! Where did you get that Howitzer?” “…I found it.”

not so good here. Death in the family today. Which means an emergency trip to Utah for a week or so.

Magnificent to behold - Greatly to be praised.

Pretty damn good…Went to my laser eye follow-up appointment and apparently I’m like their greatest success story or something…so I got that goin’ for me…which is nice!

Hubby finally fixed whatever was wrong with the entertainment center so we could once again listen to records (LP’s) and I celebrated by breaking out the Spike Jones, ELO, and Letterman for a hoot.

AND get this: After I dusted down the entertainment center with the new $$$ vacuum, hubby decided he wanted to use it to clean the cat hairs off the couch…I made him use the “ZipBrush” attachment. His pronouncement? “This vacuum is AWESOME!” LOL, I love the rare times I turn out to be right!

Fair to middlin’. You?

I am incredibly drunk right now. Which, if you ask me, is what I’ve needed for a while now.

Autum Leaves were in color outside the front door where I work. I enjoyed it. I hope some of you do as well. It is a large file (1024 x 768 color) if you click it it might take a while to load.

Well early this morning there was an owl hooting at something as I was getting ready to milk. From about 8am-9 there was one of those rainbow/halos around the sun. I went down the road to grab a round bale for the cows and saw a hawk dragging off another birds from the edge of the roadway as I crested the hill. I think the prey was a pigeon, the hunter maybe an adolescent Broad Shouldered or adolescent Red Tail. To big for a Sparrow Hawk and to small for a full grown of the other two. Parents are off to the SU-BC football game. Few things to do other than the basic feeding and milking the cows. Actually nice day so far, hoping the rest of the day will be this mellow.

Nice pic, tris!

I forgot to set the alarm and am just getting moving now (a wee bit hungover). I’d meant to get in a full day, but this means I’ll have to work tomorrow. We’ve got a convention Monday, so I’ll get nothing substantive done that day, and tonight and tomorrow night are social events associated with the convention. Whoopee. If I’m up late enough I might try and make it over to the ROT for RHPS and try and figure out who Cessandra is (it’s a few blocks from home), but the if factor is significant.

One way or another I won’t be talkin’ to y’all much in the next few days.

Have a good weekend!

So,the weather here is delightful.Just about as good as yours Sea Lemon! ;)74! in Ohio in Oct. Wow! We’re bumming around today. So,mr. lemon, when it gets in the 30’s here(soon),why not invite me down for some sun?
