The going to work early MMP

I don’t even have time to get coffee, I have to be to work early. Baking nevers waits.

Barely enough time to get “purified” for “irk” and feed the dog and cat,(Nathan and Atilla), so they don’t eat me when I get home.

This is not the best way to start Monday.

Oops, last week’s thread.

Damn, beat me to it! My vacation had me out of the hotel room before 5am. I need to find a saner hobby! Still, I loved it & it was just what I needed. Up to finsh packing & to head home today. :frowning:
Home tasks are laundry, get some groceries, & view/sort/share the hundreds of pix (75% bawoons, 23% views from the two hikes, & 2% asst’d stuff.)
Oh yeah… first!

Howdy everyone. I’m up early because I have to go to school. Today we have more time to work in our rooms and some meetings and then tonight is open house.

Had an awesome weekend with RT and he survived meeting my mom and my grandparents.:smiley:

Just going to bed here. Working 4 to 12:30 tomorrow.

Wait. Did I really just post in a Mumper thread? :smack:

I’m one of you now, aren’t I?

I am at irk, I have five more days in this job and then I’m officially unemployed again until the agency find me a new contract. That won’t be until mid-September as I’m off on my jollies next week anyway.

I am always up early for irk, I have an hour at home in the morning to do everything that needs to be done, then I am out of the house until about 6pm when I come home to my evening list of chores. As it’s Monday, it will be cat-feeding, half an hour on the Wii, shower, laundry, cooking, washing dishes, hanging up laundry, putting out rubbish and recycling bins and then off to bed.

azraiel, yes, you’re one of us. Welcome to the dark side. Want a cookie before someone introduces you to the goat and the squid?

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 87 for the day and a sixty percent chance of rain, yet again. We had some hyuuuuuuuuuuuuge tstorms last night, as in woke me up.

I remembered about seven p.m. last night that tonight is men’s night over to the church house. Thus I took a couple steaks outta da freezer to thaw overnight in da fridge which they pretty much did. I have ‘em sittin’ out right now to get a little more thawed which they are so I shall go marinade 'em shortly. Thus, yestiddy’s leftovers become tomorrow night’s dindin. Works for me!

Baker (did we decide on Cupcake for a nickname?) this is two weeks in a row. Come back and play.

One of us! One of us!

StickyBuns good luck with the open house.

OK, now I need more caffiene. Rumbly tummy is also hongry plus steaks must be prepped. Then, alas, 'tis Moanday so irk purtification must commence.

Happy Moanday Y’all!

You do appear to have been assimilated.

You dig deep just to carry on…”

Well, here it is. Another day. I have to visit my mother’s area of town very early this morning. I really hope that I won’t run into her. :frowning: :frowning:

I will also end up being late for class because of my appointment in another part of town. I hope the teacher won’t be mad.

So much to do…

I need to get a life.

Yes you are, and I declare your Mumper nickname to be Zazzy. Don’t question it, just accept the inevitable. And welcome to another timesuck.

**Baker **- (is **swampy **right about your nick? I can’t keep track of these things…) Your OP had me visualizing you as the guy on the old commercial: “Time to make the donuts…”

**BBBobbio **- have you tried Craigslist?? :stuck_out_tongue:

**FCD **is heading out to Indianapolis today to visit his aunt and uncle, just because. He was looking for a sorta long but not too long bike trek, and this seems to fit the bill. According to Google Maps, it’s about 650 miles to their house. He’ll do about half today, and get there tomorrow. Dunno if he’ll try the return trip in one shot or not, but he does have to be back by Saturday for the HOG night at the ball park.

For me, today is a random crabber day, which means I can monitor as many as I’m able. So far, no one’s going out, so it may be super easy… Tomorrow afternoon is my job interview and I honestly think the job is mine to lose. It’s a temp position with no hope of becoming permanent, which will narrow the pool of applicants, and it’s been open for over a month. I meet or exceed pretty much all of their requirements, and the only thing that doesn’t thrill me about it is the location - it’s about 30 miles away and I have to drive thru several small towns, so that’ll slow the commute. But at least it’s not on the main drag to the main Navy base, so the traffic will be less. And I’m hoping I can do early hours. Anyway, that’s tomorrow.

And whether I get crabbers or not, I’ve got to deliver a couple of towels to the little store and I’m taking some hats to see if they’d like to try selling them. It also looks like today will be the last day for a while that I’ll have the house open. Tomorrow, we’re back into the mid-80s, dammit. I have so loved this early peek at autumn. Oh well.

Thus beginneth my day. Happy Moanday!!

First timer, so y’all go easy on me.
Gotta go an see the sawbones today. Blood pressures been a little wonky, think I need to have my meds adjusted or somethin’. :frowning:
Gettin’ ready to head up to Big D later this week, gonna buy a brand spankin’ new Road Glide.

Morning all,

Is it Friday yet?

Welcome to the new mumpers! BLURF!

Oh and BBBobbio, if you want a life, please don’t hesistate to take mine. In fact I insist you make it go away!

My spousal unit has a Fat Boy, which I rode on once and did not enjoy. To be fair, I didn’t enjoy riding on either of his other bikes - I just don’t get the whole motorcycle thing.

Zazzy? Ok, I’ll accept the inevitable,

Bedtime for me. Zazzy has to teach at 4pm tomorrow…

Any particular reason why, you didn’t enjoy it? Some folks jus’ don’t take to ridin’ on two wheels.

My better half don’t care to get on mine either, if thats any consolation.

Good moaning, all.

How timely, this MMP - I was at irk at 3:30 am EST today for inventory. Much too blurf-early for my taste these days. I ain’t a young’un no more. I’d make my right hand person :stuck_out_tongue: do it, but the numbers gotta be right or there’s hell to pay. Hell being TPTB.

So I do it myself, for now.

Anyone else just ‘Do It’ because you simply don’t/can’t trust the up-and-comers to be diligent enough in the task at hand? Don’t get me wrong - there are some fine folks out there, but there is also a very large clot of people that just do not have a sense of urgency or practical responsibility. It can be very difficult to turn these people sometimes.
Oh, and Happy Moanday, everyone!

Blurf

azraiel, How you 'doin  The squid and goat are currently engaged in epic battle but will be available for shenanigans shortly

Wow, it is New People Week. Do we still have orientation classes?

This weekend was delightfully uneventful. I pretty much did nothing but read and nap. My parents called on Saturday to see if I was going to my cousin’s daughter’s birthday party, but I did not think a one-year-old’s party was enough reason to take a shower and put on a bra. And then go buy a present on my way to the party. I have just about had enough of family events that consist of sitting around and watching somebody else’s toddlers be cute.

Sometimes I think it’s a really good thing I never had children. It’s not quite too late for me, but I think I’m fine without them.
