Its an old one but this was one where someone called me (a one man show at the time) wanting to complain about one of my employees, who happened to be me.
And don’t forget, you got two free airplane rides out of the deal.
Win for you!
BLT w/seasoned fries, iced tea (unsweetened).
Er, no. ???
“Mike,” our Regional Service Manager, flew in from Corp. HQ to our service area here in St. Louis. We picked him up from the airport, and I got a free car ride with my immediate boss (Area Service Manager) and “Mike” up to “IniTech” (about a 30-40 minute drive from the airport, depending on traffic), and then back to the airport via Denny’s.
I got a free lunch out of it, which is, of course, never a bad thing. If I had only one piece of wisdom to pass on to humanity, it would be “Never Pass Up A Free Meal.”
Its dangerous converse, “There Ain’t No Such Thing As A Free Lunch,” people are just going to have to learn the hard way.
Having suffered through food poisoning tice in my life, from meals at two different Denny’s, I would modify this to, “Never Pass Up a Free Meal, except from Denny’s”.
Oh, I see. I totally misread that part of the OP.
What’s your boss’s phone number? I wanna call him up and blame that on you.
Don’t sweat it, I’m just trying to score you another free lunch!
Good attitude.
Be thankful the calls were recorded and that your bosses supported you. (Of course they should, but life isn’t always fair. )
It is perfectly human to feel irritated by this.
Perhaps it will help if you imagine the conversation between Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones.
Bear in mind that Mr. Smith has had to (rightly) attend a meeting, apologise to you and your company and cope with having Jones as a loose cannon. It’s now all his problem. If Jones deserves a bllck*ng, he’ll get one. if Jones needs counselling, he’ll get it. If Jones needs firing, presumably that will happen too.
As someone whose husband is part owner of a call-recording software company, I’m getting a kick out of this thread.
I’m going to interpret that as “ball-licking,” and there’s not a damned thing you can do to stop me.
Well, other than include your vowels next time, I suppose.
Good result, hope you’ll let us all know if the slimy little creep got disciplined/sacked.
I realise that it may not get back to you from the other company but we can but hope.
How about pointing out there’s only two Ls?
I’m kinda puzzled about it too. Bollocking?
Shhhh, don’t spoil my fun.
Yup, definitely supposed to be bollocking.
QA Rep here: been working in this job for 4 years.
Honestly, this is part of the job that I love. All of our calls are recorded as well, thank God: because I love being able to pull a call, listen to it, and prove our CCR was right and the customer is a jackass. This happens more often than you’d think. Before call recording, the management would automatically take the word of the customer: now, we can prove what happened. Call recording is awesome.
"I’ve been trying to post on this thread for three days but to no avail.
I asked Ex-Tank for help about this but all he did was scream obscenities back at me.
I want him banned!
Now where did I put those meds?
