While I’m thinking about it; LBBB censors certain words: for example, lesbian shows up as *******. I saw a post there where someone said **** and it showed up as ****. In his next post he says, “I did not use the s word in my last post. I didn’t realize that c-r-a-p would be censored.” Aren’t you glad they don’t censor words like **** here.

Incidentally, back when some of us dopers were “infiltrating” the Left Behind Message Board, I noticed that several LB-ers had usernames that referred to bible verses; e.g. there were users with usernames like “Matthew 1:17” and “John 3:16” and “Joshua 12:27”.
I chose “Joshua 10:40” because it sums up just what I think of that so called “merciful loving God” of the judea-christians.

Okay, you might consider them to be flaming idiots. They might be jerks, even. But it’s their board and their beliefs and yelling at them won’t make anything different or better. Not there, not here, either.
I compare it to the Jehovah Witness; I don’t bother them long as they don’t come knocking on my door and bugging me.
If you genuinely want to go over there and participate, cool, I’m sure they’d be happy to have you, but don’t go over there just to heckle.

Another reason you do not want to start posting on the LBMB just to harrass them is this:
Their main administrator, MBagnall, has a very low tolerance for those who don’t toe the line. (His line.) One of the usage notes for that board proclaims that God Himself oversees all those in this world who are “in charge,” and insists that questioning the administrator or his policies is the same thing as attacking God.
Nah, they’ve already got a gay thread, so I’m just reading and responding very reservedly, and then I’ll get out. I anticipate it will amuse me for a sum total of 15 minutes before I get disgusted and never go back.
Honestly, I’m not going to hassle 'em. I may give my point of view, but I’m well aware that it’s neither a place for discussion and debate like here, nor am I going to “convert” anyone away from their strongly-held beliefs. I would also suggest that if you do start posting to the LBMB, you do not turn around and post to this thread (or elsewhere on the SDMB) telling everyone what you’ve just posted to Left Behind.
That was what precipitated the real trouble the last time. One Christian zealot – and I’m not mentioning any names, but his initials are “Phaedrus” – decided that the fun we were having behind the LBMB’s back was unfair to them, and e-mailed the LBMB administrator to tell him what was going on.
