Some requests from a 24 fan.

Dunno if this is a dig at me. The distinction is people that can’t discern fact from fiction shouldn’t be allowed to vote, not viewers of 24.

We can’t decide who gets to vote because someone might decide that, say, Jews or Baptists can’t be allowed to vote.
But I become serious in a light hearted thread.
My apologies.

If they can’t tell between reality and fantasy they shouldn’t be allowed to.

No worries.

Again I apologize.
I want to stay on your good side!

On a side note, I hear that a “24” movie is in the works. What are they going to call it- “2”?

No, Mr. Smarty Pants. It’s going to be a 24-hour long movie, duh!

I thought this thread was about Jeff Gordon.

I was really confused at first…

Aw, you know I love you.

Geez, get a chat room, you two.

Hey, you wait until you can be disenfranchised at a whim!

The Elbonians have weapons? I thought all they had was mud. Or perhaps they’ve got a trade cartel going with Lower Slobbovia?

I, too, am a big fa of 24, and I agree with most of these nitpicks and observations. You don’t like the show, don’t watch the show. It wouldn’t kill “24” to get some proper writers, though, would it? They are seriously telegraphing all their plot complications. And Danger Girl’s coming back - whoopee.

Here’s a question for you - Gregory House vs. Jack Bauer in a bluff-off - who wins? (No guns or meds allowed.)

Jack doesn’t bluff. Ever. Just ask Audrey’s ex (granted, you’ll need a seance).

Or Chase, in season 3.

A drug lord gave Jack a gun and told him to shoot his partner(who had been captured by the drug lord) in the head to prove his loyalty.

He did it, almost without hestiation.

Fortunatly, it was only a test and the gun wasn’t loaded. Jack didn’t know that, of course.

THen again, chase was dating his daughter, so maybe he had secretly been looking forward to that.

But seriously, don’t mess with Jack. Don’t try to bluff him or lie to him. The only reason you are concious is because Jack doesn’t feel like carrying you.

This has a negative aspect. In season 2 which I’m trying to watch on A&E,

Nina doesn’t trust him not to kill her no matter what promises he makes. And his good buddy President Palmer has agreed to pardon her for whacking Jack if she will tell what she knows about the current terrorists.
If Jack had played nice, she would trust him and he wouldn’t have to buy the farm. Of course he won’t, but I can see Nina’s side of things.
