Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Great news C3! This is very good!
When will you find out the sex of the baby?
And pardon my ignorance, but what exactly is Lupus??? I’ve heard of it, but basically, I don’t know what it is!
congratulations! i hope all goes well and easily.
Congrats C3 and another vote for Olivia here. People often fear the unavoidable abbreviations of baby names but Liv is kinda cool.
Congratulations! I wish you continued good health and an easy pregnancy. I also vote for Olivia. Beautiful name!
I’m so glad to hear of your pregnancy C3. I hope everything goes well!
Zazie, IANAD, but my understanding is that Lupus is a disease of the immune system. It can affect the joints and the organs and is fairly unpredictable. In some cases, it is fatal, but I think that’s pretty rare. When C3 comes back, she can fill in the blanks.
On topic, C3, congratulations! I wish you a healthy pregnancy and a beautiful finished product!
Congrats!!!
Thank you Kung!
And C3 for some unknown reason… I feel it’s gonna be a girl!
Yay! having done much the same route (two miscarriages before a term pregnancy), those first months really suck for anxiety…
And later on, I actually stopped thinking about miscarriage at all! Amazing. I just became a pregnancy.
Best wishes for a lovely 17 more weeks or so.
Congratulations!!
Congratulations, and I wish you all the best of luck, and a trouble free pregnancy.
Congratulations! Oliva is a beautiful name. I think it’s always a good idea to imagine your child as the president of the United States - Would “Bunny” really be appropriate? Give your child a name he or she can carry proudly and grow into.

That’s weird - I had my first baby dream last night and it was a girl. It actually started out as a puppy, but turned into a kid.
Lupus is an autoimmune disorder in which I have antibodies that attack my own body. It’s a systemic disease and can attack many different systems in the body. Most people have joint problems, kidney problems, and skin issues such as rashes (it’s called lupus because of the rash that many lupus patients get on their face - it’s red and shaped like a butterfly across the nose and cheeks, but apparently once reminded someone of a wolf bite). Lupus effects mainly women in their childbearing years, with an even higher rate in Black women. I was diagnosed when I was 15, with my primary symptoms being extreme fatigue, arthritis, low-grade fever, and a weird rash on my legs. I was treated with high doses of prednisone and various arthritis medications. I’ve been in remission since I was 19, which is a good start for a pregnancy. They say people who are not in what they call a “flare” are the best candidates for a healthy pregnancy. Lupus is not transmissable to your child, but it does seem to run in families. I have a cousin who has it and it’s now suspected that my great grandmother had it.
Thank you, everyone, for your good wishes!
You gave birth to a puppy!? How cool
Thanks for the info.
Best of luck!
Good luck and happy baby bearing C3…
Just wanted to commiserate that prednisone (while miraculously helpful) completely sucks! I have a kidney disease where my immune system attacked my kidneys that they treated with prednisone when I was a teenager. The one thing that keeps me taking care of myself is fear of taking that infernal drug again!
Congrats again! Babies are miracles.
best wishes C3, sending good thoughts for you and the baby
Congrats, C3. May you have a healthy and safe birth! And a gorgeous new bebe to come!
