Awhile ago, in this thread, I asked about tricks and old wives tales associated with getting pregnant. I’m not sure if any of the suggestions played a part, or if it was just perseverence, but I’m 8 weeks along right now! Yay!
Everything’s going well so far. I have lupus, so I’m under extreme observation by several doctors and the local high risk antenatal clinic. Lots of blood to be drawn tomorrow and my first ultrasound in a couple weeks.

That’s wonderful news C3. I think I remember your saying in other posts that you and your family were planning to return to the US. Is that still on the cards now that you’re pregnant?
Yeah, our plan was to get pregnant, have the baby, then move back sometime toward the end of '06. Then it took us almost a year to achieve the first step! We’re still planning on heading back sometime toward the end of next year and we’re taking the next 6 months to decide exactly where we’re going to go and to get my husband’s greencard stuff going again. Blech.

I read the thread title and thought the thread was going to be something along the lines of “Gee, thanks, I asked for ways to avoid getting pregnant, and now I’m knocked up!”

I thought it was going to be a misplaced Pit thread about a one night stand. Then I remembered that C3 is married, and I didn’t know what to think.

My SO and I agree that the thread title does not sound like you are happy about this. However, you are, so congratulations!
