If you’re saying you’ve been whooshed, then you’re right.
Which part was that, when I said Clinton pounded Trump or that he was inarticulate and unprepared?
That certainly is an interesting and unusual perspective.
Had Trump released his tax returns, not been the king of the birthers, not stiffed people he owed money to, and not been a chauvinist pig, Hillary wouldn’t have hit him on these things.
If Trump pulled any punches, he can certainly try next time. It won’t help him, but he can try.
Hillary has by no means played all of her cards. The Trump Foundation scandal was not mentioned at all. She has plenty more up her sleeve.
I agree that Trump was unprepared. I disagree that he showed genuine emotion or that he is capable of having genuine emotions.
The Clinton Foundation doesn’t have people on the dole, they help people around the world. The Trump Foundation exists to pay off Trump’s legal troubles with other people’s money.
It’s kind of hard to hammer Hillary on the war when Trump initially favored it. It’s hard to hammer her on the national debt when Bush created so much of it and Trump wants to supersize it with insane tax cuts.
Holt may have “lobbed several steel chairs into the ring” but it was Trump who bashed himself over the head with them.
Ok I was summarizing what happened in the debate. Do you dispute this account of the events?
It most certainly will help him. You think it would help him to remain stiff as he is assaulted?
Meh, you sound like the right wingers I hear saying " Just wait til e hits her on Benghazi". LOL
He showed anger and frustration. I watched on TV, not transistor radio.
…wow
Zzzz
No it’s not. Not for a politician. Clinton literally said “everyone should respect the law”, and claimed to not support the TPP. Politicians can say whatever they want.
Yes! I like this much better.
Job 1 for Trump the other night was to keep his composure for 90 minutes.
Knowing that, and knowing how important it was to do so, he still failed. Hell, he could barely manage 20 minutes.
He didn’t just fail a test to be President. He failed a requirement of being competent adult.
Really? I was embarrassed for her. That line came out of nowhere, out of context. She clearly memorized it beforehand and was waiting for a chance to use it but flubbed its timing.
No: Trump just said that she’d stayed home while he was out campaigning. He’s pretty incoherent, but there was an implication there that she was irresponsible or something in staying home to prep for a debate instead of going out to have rallies and stuff.
WillFarnaby, “whoosh” is an expression to describe when someone takes something seriously that was intended as a joke. I suppose maybe you were joking with that entire post, which would be less embarrassing for you–but please don’t think I was taking it seriously.
Whooshed as in it went over your head. Happens to those operating on a primitive partisan plane instead of dabbling with integrity and objectivity.
What the Hell is wrong with saying “Everyone should be respected by law and everyone should respect the law?” You disagree?
Well, at least you know how to tell a joke on yourself.
Eric Trump says it was “Courage” that kept his dad from bringing up Bill Clinton’s infidelity:
Chelsea Clinton, otoh, says that the Donald keep bringings up her Dad’s infidelity because he’s incapable of speaking about anything substantive.
In summation, the Clintons are even winning the post-debate kiddie table. Also, Eric Trump remains a smarmy little git.
That’s enough of that. Keep the personal cracks out of the discussion.
In keeping with that, I humbly retract my response to Will’s remark.
edit: nm
Yes, murders increased in 2015, but that because 2014 had such low rates. Overall, murders are going down.
That’s the Eric Trump whose father left when he was seven?
Let the candidates compare their marital histories! (Is Eric hoping to see his old man punished?)
Other virtues he could have referenced that would have kept his dad from bringing up Bill’s infidelity: wisdom, prudence, basic human decency.
I suppose Eric was trying to keep it believable.
I have never loved the IRS as much as I have at this moment!!!
All I can really say is that one of the most Honest, Ethical, and Truly Finest people in All of the Federal Government is The Regional Counsel for The State of New York.
And I can only hope that Mr Trump will become a much better man for meeting that person.
In court.
