I was going to post about that but you beat me to it. Yep, one of the exciting aspects of living in Florida. Spring has sprung and all the alligators are horny and hungry and anything could happen.
BTW, the cat was fine.
What? Nothing is too loud to be a cat. Nuclear explosions are not too loud to be a cat, or at least not my cat.
I’ve lived in Florida, but beach Florida rather than swamp Florida, so we were low on alligators but high on snakes.
Are they too dangerous to set free, once they’ve made their way into someone’s house? It said they were killing it, due to its size.
The danger comes when they’ve got into the peanut butter - one taste of that and no kitchen is safe.
That us one ugly website.
The alligator is quite attractive in comparison.
Just saw this on the regular newscast. We lived about 100 yards from where they caught that gator.
Nuisance gators are not relocated. According to the FWC website
So those smaller than 4 feet in length will be relocated, but larger ones that have shown that they have no fear of humans will be killed and turned into meat and maybe even handbags, shoes and belts. They are no longer endangered so that don’t try to save them all anymore.
Awww, that is a bit sad. I do like handbags, though.
My parents lived in the Mainlands; one of their neighbors installed a pet door so their poodle could go in and out at will. They didn’t count on a four to five foot alligator entering their house through the pet door but one did just that.
