Something about the burly, hairy arm attached to the Bar None puppet freaks me out

These commercials feature a dog puppet with a goofy, cartoony voice, but the freaky thing is the ‘puppeteer’ has this rather muscular hairy arm with a large watch clearly visible.

Something about it freaks me out…

I think it’s propably the burly, hairy arm clashing with the cute, goofy dog puppet. That can be freaky.

That’s gotta be one of the most BIZARRE jobs out there.

You think that guy is on the IMDB? Look for people’s filmtographies for “was the Bar None puppet” :stuck_out_tongue:

Before he was the Bar None handpuppet, he was the Pets.com handpuppet. Pets.com died a quick death, but evidently the puppet was so beloved that Bar None bought the right to use it. It sounds like the same voice, but I have no idea if it’s the same arm.

Actually, I know it is hard to see it because they cut it before you can tell, that arm is a puppet as well. Right past the elbow a cat’s paw is clearly visible closely followed by a gazelle in a cat suit. The gazelle is actually a Turkish spy who uses his comic wit to subdue would be international terrorists. He stole, from a parakeet in a kiwi suit, the latex human arms that the parakeet used to train guerillas which were, in fact, gorillas. The gazelle’s turkish origin is the reason for the hair. It is freaky because you have super human abilities to see past the arm. You saw a world-renowned Turkish spy. You shall suffer the consequences of your actions and meet the Gimp from Nantuket who is actually a biplane who was crossed by a pigeon and now has the ability to scale under buildings and go swiming in the Sun’s molton core. You shall not get a car loan you poor ignorant bastard!

All I found out online is the original puppeteer of Pets.com was of the name Michael Ian Black…

I know Michael Ian Black did the voice of the pets.com puppet, but I didn’t think he was the puppeteer. I could be wrong, though.

Here are the commercials arm and all. See bottom left. Click on pictures.
