Song ID help please? I’m really not very familiar with current music, classical is more my thing. Recently, in the store, I heard on the radio a popular song with a chorus that uses a melody very similar to “Lift Every Voice and Sing”:
The first time I heard it I thought “that’s a tune I know”. Then when I heard it again I recognized several lines that sound like “Lift Every Voice and Sing”, with just a few variants.
It’s a male singer–maybe Bruno Mars? It reminded me a little of his “When I was your man.” I don’t remember any of the words but I think it was a love song.
