Songs that crack you up.

I’m ashamed to admit it, but

“The Bad Touch” by the Bloodhound Gang.

“Then we’ll do it doggie style so we can both watch X-Files.”

Chocolate and Cheese has a bunch of funny songs, admittedly the first time you hear them it’s a big shocking i.e. “Mister will you please help My Pony”. Right now I particularly enjoy “Banana’s and Blow” from their new album.

What about ‘Wish me Well (You can go to hell)’ by the Bouncing Souls?

William Shatner’s version of Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds is a true howler (forgive the pun–yes, he howls). I saw someone downloading it from me on Napster and I was amazed until I realized that I had done the same thing, undoubtedly to the amazement of another user.

I second the sentiment about Tom Lehrer! Especially “I Hold Your Hand In Mine.”

Also:
The Protest Song by Neil Innes (especially what he says before playing it: “Ladies and Gentlemen, I’ve suffered for my music. Now it’s your turn.”

“You’re Breakin’ My Heart” by Harry Nilsson

“The Girl Tried to Kill Me” by Ice-T

And lots of stuff by the Reverend Billy C. Wirtz, but in particular:
“Big Jess”
“Song for Judy”
“Just Friends”
“Margarita Hell” ("How do you like your Jimmy Buffet song now ahh-ha-ha-haaaaaa!)

‘Beat on the Brat’ by the Ramones (the title might be wrong.)
‘Christmas song’ by Tripod.
And the song from one of the Red Dwarf episodes, where the Cat has been dreaming. Also the song from The Rimmer Experience.

Balance, what did you think of Mercedes Lackey’s My Lady’s Eyes?

I heard that on the radio for the first time recently, and it made me laugh so hard I cried.

Kiss Off - The Violent Femmes

Amish Paradise - Weird Al

Big Ten inch record - aerosmith (I know it’s a remake)

I’m the prettiest cop on the block - Alice cooper

Crablouse - Lords of acid

You Stink(But I love you) by Mucky Pup
In fact if you like heavy, funny music,
Mucky Pup was the Bloodhound Gang of
a few years ago.
Detachable Penis by King Missle is also
a good one
Most songs by John Valby, all though they
are much funnier when you see him live and
have a few drinks

“All By Myself” by Green Day (it’s actually the untitled ‘secret track’ at the end of Dookie).

“Hit Me Baby One More Time” by Mr.Bungle

I found it really hilarious for some reason.

One I’m pretty surprised nobody has mentioned by now is the “Porky Pig does Blue Christmas” song that gets played every year around Christmastime. The song is funny enough, but what really cracks me up is the guy in the background who is just howling with laughter through most of the song.

I was running with headphones one time when that song came on the radio, and was laughing so hard I has to stop and lean on a rail and just laugh. A passer by thought I was having a heart attack, which was so funny to me that I gave up running for the day and went home. I couldn’t stop giggling.

I forget who the actual performer is. Its generally credited to Mel Blanc, but I understand he really didn’t have anything to do with it.

How about these nuggets?

  1. Anything by Da Yoopers, especially “Free Beer”
“Free beer, free beer, that’s my favorite brand,
If I didn’t have to buy it, it’s the best beer in the land.
Warm, flat, funky, it don’t matter to me,
The greatest beer in this whole world is the one you buy for me”

  2. If I Had a Million Dollars.

  3. Denis Leary’s Irish Drinking Song.

Question. About 10 or 12 years ago a friend of mine gave me a copy of a tape he copied from his brother. It was a comedian who played the piano. (Not Borgnine) He did a song called “Fuck the Ayatollah” as weall as one called the KNock-knock song. ex lyric: Knock- knock! Who’s there? Gladiator! Gladiator who? then sings Gladiator before the gang-bang, oh yes he was…etc. If anyone saw the movie “Losin’ It” he was the piano player when Tom Cruise and his friends went into the TJ brothel. ANY help on who he might be and what the album name was?

Oh, I forgot a few…

‘walkin’ ‘round in women’s underwear’ - don’t know who does it, but it is a dude and it is sung to the tune of ‘walking in a winter wonderland’ – …later on, ifya wanna, we can dress— like Madonna…

Mojo Nixon! His songs about Elvis… he is so funny…

Punk Rock girl… like mentioned above…

great white north and 12 days of xmas by bob and doug mckenzie

santa claus and his ole lady by cheech and chong

a relatively obscure song:
We’re Getting Nowhere (Fast) by This Train

“We’re getting nowhere, fast.
We’re never gonna last.
We’re gonna go for the bronze and fly our banners at half-mast;
We’re getting nowhere fast.”

and

“One-hit-wonders laugh at us 'cause at least they’ve had a hit”

Emotional Baggage by Offspring.

“Rock and Roll Lifestyle” by Cake.

And how much did you pay for your black leather jacket
Is it you or your parents in this income tax bracket

Good gods! Don’t you know better than to post the title of that drivel? Now there’s syrup oozing out of my monitor where the text appeared. <scrubs at monitor with wet paper towel, succeeding in making the whole screen excessively sweet and sticky> Now I have to go to another thread!

I think everyone has neglected to mention any songs by the hysterical Shirehorses.
Especially “single bloke” and “you’re gormless”
