Songs to torture yourself with during polar vortex

Stuck inside here in Michigan with the gas company telling us to turn down the heat. I am getting buggy and the dog is sulking because he hasn’t been walked in a few days. Need a soundtrack to make matters worse.

Don Henley - Boys of Summer
Doors - Riders on the Storm
Stooges - No Fun

The soundtrack for Frozen?
“Do you wanna build a snowman?”

Summertime by Ella Fitzgerald

If you’re going to play Don Henley, Boys of Summer isn’t bad but Sunset Grill is better (worse?)I can *smell *the beach when I hear that one.

Why not just play the Beach Boys on a continuous loop?

Lovin’ Spoonful - Summer in the City

Baby, It’s Cold Outside.
:flees:

Foreigner: “Cold as Ice”

Mungo Jerry: “In the Summertime”

Vanilla Ice: “Ice, Ice, Baby”

Traditional: Ballad of Glencoe

Or Jimmy Buffett.

How about the soundtrack from Scott of the Antarctic?

I wanna go back to my little grass shack in Kealakekua, Hawaii . . .

Depending on which way you want to go:

Ice Cold Ice-- Husker Du
Fire-- Arthur Brown

Kokomo, The Beach Boys

Heat Wave - Ella Fitzgerald

Heatwave - Linda Ronstadt

Heatwave - Boogie Nights

Hot Stuff - Donna SUMMER

(I’ll be back with more; heh-heh-heh!)

California Sun by The Ramones

“South Side of the Sky” from Yes?

It’s not really torture. Though tangentially related to being cold, it’s a wonderful song.

Something warmer: JTG Implosion, “Sunshine

Hotter Than Hell – KISS

You want hot? Alright, let get warmed up with some psychedelic rock. You and Roky Erickson can Stand for the Fire Demon. You haven’t had enough, you say? Maybe you want some Judas Priest style White Heat Red Hot. We’re only getting started. Dimmu Borgir is gonna make you Burn in Hell, but only after you burn alive with, Iron Maiden and the rest of the Children of the Damned!

But hey, at least you didn’t buy tickets for the Fyre festival.

Heat Wave – The Who

the “rodeo song”

Martha Reeves & The Vandellas: (Love Is Like a) Heat Wave
Steam Heat, from “The Pajama Game”
Summertime, from “Porgy & Bess”
In the Good Old Summertime
Summer Is a Comin’ In

Dragon: April Sun in Cuba.
