Songs with the same name as the band themselves

“Ramones”…..’Ramones’

“Killer Queen” by the legendary Queen! Not exactly the same, but I approve of this message!

I just came on to post “Ramones”, and to cite that it is, AFAIK, unique among such songs in that it’s a cover of a song originally written about the band by a different band, namely Motorhead.

Maybe doesn’t count because you’ve never heard of them but I was in a band called “The Real Darrins” and we played a song called “The Real Darrin”.

I saw a video of the live version and my mind was officially blown. Particularly the high-speed shredding.

Oh! And who could forget the “Cherry Poppin’ Daddy Strut”?

There was an ABC Saturday morning show in 1977 called Kaptain Kool and the Kongs, produced by the Sid and Mart Krofft organization. They had a titular LP (I don’t think it survived into the CD revolution of the 1980s) and you would not believe what their only single was called!

If that counts, then so does “Stray Cat Strut”

Technically, the full name of the track is “Medley: Intro ‘Venus’/Sugar, Sugar/No Reply/I’ll Be Back/Drive My Car/Do You Want to Know a Secret/We Can Work It Out/I Should Have Known Better/Nowhere Man/You’re Going to Lose That Girl/Stars on 45”.

Mandrill by Mandrill from the album “Mandrill.”

“Talk Talk” from the album “Talk Talk” by Talk Talk.
