Songs You Have to Hear More Than Once

Over the Hills and Far Away–Led Zeppelin
Axis (Bold as Love)–Jimi Hendriz
Wish You Were Here–Pink Floyd
Mother, Blood Roses–Tori Amos
What I Am–Eminem
Car Thief–Beastie Boys
Sleep to Dream–Fiona Apple

I’d go with “Nightswimming” by R.E.M.

BTW, I thought this thread was going to be about songs/ablums that you needed to listen to multiple times because they grow on you, not because they kick so much ass.

Radiohead—“Morning Bell”

Maybe it’s because the beginning is so much better than the end.

“Tie your Mother Down” - Queen

“Spiderman” - Ramones

“Stray Cat Strut” - Stray Cats

“Living in Chaos” & “No Brakes” - Offspring

That “Till I got High, till I got high, till I got hi-igh dahdah dah dah dah dah” song.

Lol. It’s “Because I got high”
Man…Songs you have to hear more than once, that basically covers every song worth a damn.

Most recently was Outkast’s Spottiottiedopalicious whuch I was listening to about 30 seconds ago. I had to rewind the last verse and listen to it again three times. It’s an amazing song lyrically and musically.

Most recently, Traveling Soldier by the Dixie Chicks.

This particular stanza always gets me:

One Friday night at a football game,
The Lord’s Prayer said, and the anthem sang,
A man said: "Folks would you bow your head,
“For the list of local Vietnam dead.”
Cryin’ all alone under the stands,
Was the piccolo player in the marching band.
And one name read and nobody really cared,
But a pretty little girl with a bow in her hair.

sniff

Also anything by Jimi Hendrix.

The Show Must Go On by Queen

A Burning Ring Of Fire by Johnny Cash

No Leaf Clover by Metallica

Without Me by Enimem

Maybe more, but that’s it for now.
