Songs You've Downloaded On A Whim

I had a free iTunes song sitting around from my lunch yesterday and wasn’t sure what song I wanted to get, as I’ve started to run out of singles I wanted (I got an awful lot of free songs thanks to the school’s 32 oz Pepsi cups with game pieces.) So tonight, I’m watching the Simpsons and it’s the episode where Homer starts a security company. This is also the episode with a bascially shot-for-shot homage of the opening credits to the Sopranos, complete with song. So, after the Simpsons, I looked up the artist and song name, opened iTMS, and downloaded it. I’m listening to it right now.

So: “Woke Up This Morning” by A3.

I have an alternative to rooting through the trash for Pepsi cups. [ FILESHARING PROCESS DELETED BY MODERATOR ]

want2know - just an fyi, the board is very strict about discussion of illegal activities. So you should avoid suggesting that in the future.

I actually just got Eric Clapton - Layla downloaded off itunes.

Ditto what ronincyberpunk said.

And besides, the quality on those p2p files is shit. I know because I used to use them.

want2know: We do not permit discussions of filesharing that by-passes copyrights or the artists/creators.

Vision of Love: You know, when you quote the very material that you are saying is not permitted on the Boards… well, (a) you’re just compounding the problem and (b) you’re requiring that the Moderator do twice as much work. You’ll know for next time.

Most recently? “Spybreak!”, by the Propellerheads. I liked the beat on the 30-second sample.

I’ve got 50-some-odd free iTunes credits I still have to spend…

Back in the PDE (Pre-Download Era), I, on a whim, purchased a copy of Michael Penn’s “March” CD, and it became one of my all-time favorites.
