I didn’t like this episode and I have a number of reasons why not (feel free to talk me through them or point out what I am missing).

The New York family situation. We have absolute no set-up to Fankie Valli’s character having a legitimate claim on the NY family. When Carmine died it always seemed that Valli was simply a supporter or a valued advisor to little Carm. Suddenly he not only is a legitimate contender now but was two years ago? Makes no sense. They make it even worse by having Sack as Tony to kill him!

I have yet to see how Phil is giving Sack such problems. Phil seems to be doing what he needs to do.

Vito suddenly becoming a leatherman seemed a little odd. Wouldn’t he know that the club was subject to shakedown? Wouldn’t he try and be a little more discrete?

re: #3 - it was my take the club was in NY(C?) - maybe less of a chance of him being discovered? Also - the two “collectors” - were they not low-level guys? Vito may not have even known they were collectors there.

Also, Phill turning on Johnny Sack in front of the NJ guys didn’t seem right to me.
I believe Sil’s wife is played by Steven Van Zandt’s RL wife. I enjoyed this ep. Steve Buscemi directed it (did a pretty good job, too, the flow was great).
I agree with Stratocaster’s wife; considering the fact that Johnny Sack was ready to go to war over a comment made about his wife’s weight, it doesn’t seem out of character at all that he’d cry about being dragged off from his daughter’s wedding. He obviously dotes on his family.
I’m pretty sure that call from Vito to Sil at 3am was to make sure the guys that caught him in the leather bar didn’t leak the information to anyone, but it isn’t going to stay hidden long.

I thought the leatherman bit was a little much. I expected to see him sitting at the bar in his goombah wear and getting no play.
I think Vito is lamming it. He had a duffle bag with him at the hotel as well. If I see a duffle bag on this show, I always assume it’s got cash in it.
Meadow and Finn aren’t getting married. That seems clear now.
I liked the episode. I think it set up some good stuff.
Was the blood in Tony’s vomit normal for someone in his condition or is it something more?
did the drive get a punch in? Tony may have popped one of those ‘miraculous’ internal stitches he was bragging on during the poker game

Finn looked really unhappy at the wedding since he realizes how dangerous a position he’s in with Vito. I imagine that he will be very happy if Vito commits suicide.

That is his wife but the Daughter getting married, Allegra is also a Van Zandt with no Bio information.

To break from the Vito storyline, I’d like to speculate on where the Chris storyline is heading. They’ve set up from episode 1 with the FBI the terrorist angle. Chris is dealing with two men who David Chase has clearly identified as being Arabic. Now those two men want TEC-9s.

I’ve read that speculation in a couple of places and I disagree. If that was true, why would Agent Harris mention it to Chrissy and even put the thought in his head to turn those guys in?
Yeah I think the Arab guys will get pinched as a terrorist cell and Christopher will get nabbed as an accessory.

Because they know just how dumb Chris is? Maybe they were checking on the moles cover - if Chris had any misgivings, it would have been time to extract them.
I certainly don’t hold Christopher up as a paragon of intellect, but if those guys are actual terrorists, can he really be that thick? I suppose he can, but it all seems so scripted.

Pure speculation here, but maybe after meeting with the feds, Christopher agreed to cooperate. I think he was selling them phone cards in this episode, which they planned to use for untraceable calls. But what if the phone cards were provided by the feds so they could listen in on all the calls made using them? Perhaps Christopher will be protected against prosecution as a result?

Credit cards, complete with 3 digit security codes (the numbers usually printed in the signature space that don’t appear on any receipts). Oh, and they brought some dates for Tony. They are trying to get in his good graces - the question is “Why?”
