I wasn’t sure how Abe showing Kyle a bunch of people who would have pretty good lives until they turn forty was supposed to cheer him up (and apparently it didn’t).
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t 300 as that wasn’t a conspiracy movie. Plus, 300 was already spoofed in the Spring installment of season 11. The Wikipedia article, on my last check, made no reference to the movie being spoofed, but did have a “promotional poster” image that seemed to emulate a conspiracy movie… of course, the way they are posed in that poster is also similar to Cartman’s Faith + 1 album cover…
It was very John Grisham / any kind of corrupt politician / Internal Affairs type movie.
MaybeLion for Lambs?
Abe Lincoln was a good choice to put across the beauty-isn’t-everything message – his own ugliness was part of his political persona, and something about which he made jokes in his speeches.
I thought it was hilarious, Kyle thinking he was ugly–since all the kids look pretty much exactly the same.
I also loved the vomitting at the end. Does this mean they’re back together?
I also noticed the Honda, and was proud of myself, especially since I never notice cars in TV shows or movies.
